Lately in our country we keep hearing about "systemic racism". We hear it from blacks, the MSM, and politicians. They say we must have a dialog on racism and do away with systemic racism.
In our country we have a majority of whites while blacks are a minority. Yet . . .
    .
Blacks work in all trades and belong to unions.
    We have black entrepreneurs.
    Black police chiefs.
    There are black CEO's.
    Blacks in law enforcement.
    Black nurses.
    Black doctors.
Blacks elected to city and county councils.
    Black judges.
    Black lawyers.
    Blacks on the Supreme Court.
A black elected president of our country.
    Black movie stars.
    Blacks on TV.
College sports are largely black athletes.
    Black governors.
Professional sports are largely black athletes.
    Black city mayors.
    Black U.S. Senators.
    Black U.S. Representatives.
    Black astronauts.
    Black generals.
    Black college professors.
So ask yourself is there really racism in the USA. Then think it through and answer truthfully to yourself. If you still believe we are a racist country then it should be easy for you to explain why and enlighten those who don't see it.

    Yes!

"We're not racist. We have a CEOs who are black" is equivalent to "I'm not a racist. I have a friend who is black"... Or as Trump put it once "I'm not a racist. I have employees who are black"

But, to answer your question, there most definitely is enormous institutionalized racism in the U.S.

There still is racism it lurks just below societies social behavior. I have seen and heard it with my own eyes. Being white I don't feel the effects of institutional racism so I am ignorant of its full effect.

A racist wouldn’t have black friends or employees. And when asked if a person is racist that person really has no correct answer if someone is trying to paint him as a racist.

This enormous institutionalized racism you speak of, can you give me enormous examples.

Absolutely! Affirmative Action is definitely institutional racism.

Unfortunately there is a massive movement to destroy this country that is using a conditioning of racism to distort the perception of the people- and those behind it don't give a damn about racism except as a political weapon. If you can't think rationally for yourself, and you let these people dictate your beliefs- and they have been quite successful- you deserve what that is going to buy you...
BUT THE REST OF US DON'T.

Everything is better for minorities than ever before, and that progress has been gaining for over 50 years. People are discriminated against in some situation because they are black- OR WHITE, OR FAT, OR RICH, OR POOR, OR NOT AS ATTRACTIVE, OR SHORT- OR ANYTHING. Life IS NOT perfect, it never will be- but it will only improve if we work to improve it, not to destroy it. These movements are not improving racism- THEY ARE PROMOTING AND EMBEDDING IT.

Let some sunshine in there and figure it out. You are being played like a fiddle if you buy into this con job and hate scam.

There sure is racism. Those black sports celebrity’s are getting paid WAY too much in football and basketball relative to white players , whom
Just cause they can’t jump as high , should be getting equal pay. It’s racist and just unfair

And women sports celebrity are not paid enough and just cause there is only 1/10th as many audience watching women sports is no excuse. Plus, all the discrimination against your fellow competing transgenders winning all the time is just pure racism

It’s a damn good thing that more black people have not learned to swim or to play golf, because they would get paid way too much in those sports too.

~ Certain political factions and the "news" media wants us to believe America is strife with racism - unless you are white. This is more an anti-America philosophy than actual fact.
❓Want to see for yourself ? Stop thinking race, religion, ethnicity and gender. Be deaf and blind in societal summations. You may have nothing left to complain about !

Then you simply haven’t been paying attention given whites are the only ones whom it is legal and government sponsored to discriminate against based on their race.

Good answer and a good example. Not what the liberals, some blacks, some politicians, race baiters, and the politically correct group wants to have a dialog about. We can only hope a later generation will come along and recognize how affirmative action is discriminating against some people because of their skin color and do away with it.

I see racism every day. It is in the attitude of the people. Something you can't regulate.

Interesting. Right now, there is only one black Republican US Senator and one black Republican in the House. There has never been a black Republican President. There are no black Republican Governors (never has been).

    So maybe it's just
part of the country that has issues.

As long as redlining persists across the country, there will be systemic racism.

If there is no racism in this country everyone on this thread would support the peaceful protesters right to protest, support the athlete's right to take a knee, listen to their point of view (doesn't mean agree) and look for/at the law breakers that loot and burn as lawbreakers.
Oh and not respond with a "yes but"

There still exists some remnants of racism in individuals but not society as a whole and not significantly. However systemic racism is a good foil for the agenda of many politicos, much of the media, and activists groups. It is not so much a foil for blacks as it is a lollipop, something to latch onto that might make things better, ala Jon Lovitz's, "Yeah! That's the ticket." I have no problem with that.

There is some; there always will be some- but the bred-in racism of the past simply no longer exists. It is a factor of people- but you don't get justice of one in the killing of others that have nothing to do with the first. That is coming from manipulation of people's thinking, and it is promoting racism- literally resurrecting it for malicious political agendas. Extremely dangerous as well as not logical.

Can you answer your own question by addressing this ...
94% of President Trump's judicial nominees have been White - is that a bit odd?
With Trump's nominations, the 7th Circuit now has ZERO minority judges, despite the fact that the area has 40% minority residents. (Bush nominated 18% minority judges, so you know they are out there).
    Can you address that?

I think you're right. Every time I see people of color on TV waxing on and on about their hatred of white folk... Perhaps this is the attitude of the people you're referring to.

Hmmmm... one could easily point out the false equivalency here. When mostly white folk demonstrated against the lockdown, those were peaceful, were they not? Except so many on the left called those peaceful protests racist. Why? Cause white folk. Taking a knee isn't a protest, it's a marketing ploy, and was from the beginning. OF course, shouldn't Colin now have to apologize for the mix of his racial makeup? Why not? I think there is a ton of racism in this country, just look at the message of those who your refer to as "peacefully protesting". What is their message if not racism when they carry their signs or change kill the white folk. Perhaps you need to rethink your position here.

There have been a number of studies where loan applications were submitted - identical applications in all aspects save one - the name - which was changed from a traditionally white name (ie, Robert Smith) to a traditionally minority name (ie Jamal Lincoln) and the results were loan denial vastly higher for the black sounding applicant.
