While you were wallowing in the guilt trap these people have told you to dip in, (so called "peaceful" rioters, arsonists and looters) they were killing a large number of innocent people, destroying property of anyone regardless of race. The active terrorists were being aided and abetted by the support terrorists, given shelter to hide in the crowds- and not a damn one of those people lifted a finger or let our a peep to help the innocent victims or stop the carnage.

I assure you if they were breaking in to my house they way they did in those cities, it wouldn't be cold blood- it would be hot double-ought. Of course, if it were your house, you would welcome them in and say help yourself, wouldn't you? Oh- yeah, that would be different, because it would be you and that wouldn't be fair.

 

Every person who has a position of power is not necessarily a bastion of values. Our politics as well as the various parts of government, including the military, are filled with people who are sometimes not at all what you are led to believe. You probably think the rioters looting and burning stores are patriots, too. Is that right?

Please stop the hyperbole. No has said there "is some universal agreement" among former military leaders that our President threatens America. Some do believe that, though.

The feds are much more likely to sweep alt right talk-toughies than a housewife on the left.

NO. This movement is about stealing the world you didn't build, destroying the work of others from which you actually benefit from every day in multiple ways.
Ultimately it would impoverish everyone- including the poorest of us. It would make life far more dangerous for you and even worse for your children. And you endorse that.
It appeals only to fools who can't see beyond their juvenile limitations, have no appreciation for what they have, but feel great greed and envy over what they have not- and the have not because they failed to get their butts in the drivers seat of life and make good decisions. The "injustice" they think exists now will seem like the good ol days if the injustice they are trying to create comes to pass.

I listened to a number of retired admirals and generals this morning. They all had the same message. We shouldn't be using our troops to interfere with a peaceful demonstrations. However, in the back of my mind I could not help thinking. We are not talking about a peaceful demonstration. We are talking about people who are murdering innocent people, looting and destroying and we have states that are unwilling or unable to do anything about it. There is no good solution.

1. We don't use the troops and the murder of innocents, looting and destruction goes on, but the military retains a better image.

2. We do use the troops and we can likely stop the murder of innocents, looting and destruction, but it tarnishes the militaries' image.

I can't help thinking that the second alternative is less bad than the first one.

 

Among the peaceful protestors some from the left and the right have come to sow discord and even loss of life.

The admirals and generals referred to by kriman all know that and yet they say "do not use troops."

"I watched the senators heading into the chamber the other day after all this broke, with the reporters saying, 'What do you have to say? What do they you to say?'" he said.

You're talking about a Cheeto who used government force to attack peaceful demonstrators exercising their 1st amendment right to redress so he could waalk across the street for a photo op.
