I have a hard time believing this poll. All moderate Democrats that I know are outraged by the actions of far left.
There is no way you can convince swing voters and moderates to back a party that advocates the abolishion of police, which subject their families to a very dangerous social experiment, the toppling or statues of Columbus, cancellation of TV shows and movies, and other things I can’t think of right now.

For the record, I oppose all monument toppling (with a few exceptions like Saddam etc).... Get them taken down legally and safely, and if appropriate, move them to a more acceptable place.

Although for Columbus, I'm not sure exactly where that would be...

Ya, I think you are wrong. It seems to be a lot of those on the left that are totally afraid of a statues. Are you one of those who would prefer to act like the Taliban and destroy them or do you wish to understand the history and appreciate how it has changed?

 

Joe Biden does not support defunding the police. Bernie Sanders does not support defunding the police. Multiple House and Senate leadership members from the Democratic party have said they do not support defunding the police. Even the President of the NAACP does not support defunding the police.

Those facts mean that the Democratic party does not the defunding of the police. And if you can't even get to the point where you find support for defunding, then you definitely are not going to see support for abolition.

But if your best argument is a laughing emoji, then you have a **** argument.

 

Studying the history and keeping up a statute or a name that celebrates that history by literally placing it on a pedestal are two distinct concepts.

Those goons in Seattle who are asking for food donations that include soy products and meat replacement are totally divorced from reality - if real war starts they’ll be the first ones to be raped, tortured, imprisoned, or die. No one will give a sh!t about their feelings, wokeness and social justice. We will have militia of all sorts running through the country spreading destruction and death to all sides of the issue. How many of those vegan goons realize the kind of fire they are playing with? Also, how about international stage - with the US occupied with internal war, China and Russia will literally take over the world! Do you think they’ll give a sh!t about black, brown, or any lives?

a. Are one who believes in destroying historical monuments because you feel they are offensive is a good thing?
b. Understand they are part of your countries history and feel trying to erase past history is foolish and in the long run may actually hurt the very cause you want people to remember.
