This position is intelligent because it is practicing empathy towards others. It's understanding others and being able to put yourself in their shoes. That's intelligence. It's not one thing, but made of many different parts.

 

Hoaxes have been plentiful for years, but I want it fully investigated nonetheless. If true these kinds of cruel and stupid actions are what will set off the powder keg.

So she should pay to the full extent of the law if she is lying.

Eh, I like to think I can make a meaingful impact on right wing radicals if I post here and help them see different ideas about how the world works. Lately I've been looking at it through the lens of education and information literacy and found that many of them lack information literacy, or if they have it it's kinda bad. If I post and help them with information literacy maybe they can use that to make more insightful comments.

Also I wish I was drunk right now, that would make posting on PF so much more fun.

I think PF functions primarily as a release valve.

We all read the agitprop of our favorite sources & come here determined to make a dent in the thinking of the alleged *other side.*

But ultimately, we're a super-conservative country - liberals included - and people aren't going to change their minds about their conservative take 95% of the time.

I can't drink anymore, I got super drunk the other day and ended up having to reschedule an apartment viewing from my hangover. It was two drinks too! I'm losing my touch.

Oh, please. I do that all the time. Just walk around town with lighter fluid or a blow torch or a tactical nuclear missile. If a cop asks me what I'm doing I just say I'm holding it for a friend.

 

I have no empathy unless I know a victim is a victim instead of a liar. So when you see a pic that shows the burn to be on the wrong side of her face this has to be explained before I can honestly express empathy and sympathy.

Then add to this the burn pattern does not look like a spray bottle was used to disperse the lighter fluid as claimed and somehow the spray doesn't set her hair on fire nor does the flames on her face ignite her hair. Hair ignites easily.

Then zippos or that kind of lighter is seldom seen these days and are expensive to throw away. And the perps would leave prints on it unless it was wiped down first and gloves were used ..

Plus most people would not allow 4 males walk up at one am to their open window carrying a spray bottle . Without becoming defensive and rolling up the window or pressing the accelerator and getting the hell outta there. Just too many suspect events reminding many of the smollet hoax and lies. So of course it is natural given all of this to hold off with expressing genuine empathy and sympathy.

If she is telling the truth of course any decent person will voice the proper reaction. But for now these incoherences are in the way for some people because intelligence is getting in the way as it did with smollet.

So hard to trust race driven crime stories these days . Especially when what we can see doesn't match the account. Hell pick up a spray bottle and spray the water on the side of your face and note the pattern it creates! Does not match the burn pattern.

Release valve is pretty accurate I think, plus I tend to find items here that I dont see on the nightly news or morning talk shows due to editorial selection.
