At least 20 people were shot, seven fatally, during a 24-hour timeframe this weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago. At least 100 people were shot in Mayor Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago last weekend, which was Father’s Day Weekend, 14 of whom succumbed to their injuries.
You're right, when it's a democrat controlled city it's the norm. But I would only pray that Sharpton, BLM, and the MSM might demand a stop to the criminality. But then I repeat, they're also democrats.
People have been killing since the beginning of time. Why do you believe “demanding a stop to the criminality” should work? Do you really believe if we just “demand” people to stop committing crimes that it will work and there will be no more crimes? I’m quite confident that’s not how it works. But if you have some plan on how to “demand“ criminals to stop committing crimes please share.
So there is now a movement to change policing procedures which may well help to resolve these types of crimes. But I see nothing but opposition to it. So, tell me, what is your solution to reducing this kind of crime? What should the mayor do?
Are you truly concerned about black deaths or only those in Democratic cities. What about Saliabury, North Carolina; Elkhart, Indiana or Orlando, Florida? All of these have a higher death, per-capita murder rate than Chicago. As a matter of fact Chicago is ranked 24th in the nation (https://bismarcktribune.com/news/na...n_85921a38-c5e1-5cdc-82b9-d1246c065352.html#1) in murder rates. I am sure you believe that all lives matter and are equally upset by any unnecessary death whether it is an innocent person killed in a Chicago drive by or an innocent woman shot in her bed in the middle of the night in Louisville. I am going to ask you to join me in paying less attention to where killings take place and turn your attention to what we can do to stop killings no matter where they take place.
Interesting that some posters make excuses and say there is nothing that can be done. Some say it's normal. I can't imagine living in such a lawless city.
Over 600 people died in one day last weekend due to covid-19, many in red states. Should we assess where they died or should we put on our masks and social distance. Oh, do you have any idea why my state has stopped reporting deaths when case numbers are way up?
