same issues with the Service dogs, you can buy the vest at the flea market and say whatever the hell you want.

I bumped heads with someone that brought two dogs on a leash into 7-11 some time back and after the lady (who turned out to be pretty nuts) left the cashier told me that he's not allowed to say one word due to the whole medical privacy issue, didn't want to lose his job but he said the abuse of those rules has gotten out of hand.

Wearing a mask in public simply says, "I'm doing my best not to infect others."

Not wearing a mask in public says, "I don't care if I infect others around me."

It's like having the manners to wear pants in public. It's like wearing shoes in a restaurant.
Not wearing a mask is the social equivalent of a 5 year old having a temper tantrum in public.

No good deed ever goes unpunished.

Instead of just flinging out an insult, how about you prove that claim? Where's the propaganda in those links? They answered your question.

Such a reply is a clear indication that you've already lost the argument. Propaganda, my ass.

Very valid ... except to those wanting to have a temper tantrum about mommy making them wash their hands before dinner.

I compare it to ordinances on littering or pooper scooper ordinances. You are not allowed to throw your trash around, leaving it to others to clean up, or force others to deal with Fido's gifts even when there is no substantial threat to public health. Why on earth would anyone think there is some right to toss your saliva around a store or theater and leave it on other people, their clothes, their seat, or their purse, or the products in the store. Just make it your responsibility to take your droplets with you. Now if you want to walk around with your sleeve coat over your mouth to ensure that when you talk, you do not litter, that is fine but masks are a lot more convenient and they don't lead to an exhausted arm. Or you can stay home.

    The Cult can't learn.

But you can see that learning has already started, Republican governors are backing away from their stupidity. It's simply a question of how much abuse they have to take before their intellect tells their ego to take a hike.

if you're in a hot zone, yes, otherwise no

I prefer to leave it up to businesses - let them choose, and we choose to go there or not - people can always wear them even if others are not

the goal is to reduce the cases, not eliminate them... almost everyone will catch this virus, just don't want everyone to catch it at the same time and overload the medical system

What is astonishing to me is that the 'pro business' folk are not really seeing what is going on in these stores and theaters etc. Even if you can force older and sick people to go into the grocery or Walmart out of desperation, you can't expect them to relax while they are in there, if they have to study the people heading for them, and monitor the social distance of the family of three charging at them without any covering . They used to roam the isles, meandering and looking at the shelves and the ads and the promotionals and filling their carts. Now they have to dart in, grab the eggs cheese and coffee and keep a nervous eye out constantly. They are not susceptible to impulse buys. They are not looking at the shelves or the vibrant red print on the flyers and the labels. Now do you really think they will wander into the book store or a boutique or a flower shop in the nearby? Good luck getting them into a theater, a concert or a ball game.

You will not get a thriving consistently growing economy until you get traditional brick and mortar consumers ( read patrons and clientele over 45 ) to relax. Maskless selfish idiots roaming around, are not going to produce that result

I do not think they will be comforted by seeing everyone there masked, I think the vaccine is what will comfort them, but that is a ways out

like seeing people in hazmat suits and saying, everything must be a-ok there

Shall wear masks forever? Or will someone want my saliva latter?

Nobody wants your dried up dead skin cells floating in the air. Wear long shelves and gloves from now on, and a scarf ...

And Lord knows your hair follicles are not wanted, skulls cap always..

Shall we keep infringing upon each other rights?

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/05/19/walmart-wmt-earnings-q1-2021.html

In stores sales rose 10% at the biggest brick n mortar. That’s a huge number considering their sakes.

The danger to retail lies in shut downs killing sales due to the millions out of work. It does not lie in fears of mask less shoppers.

Your evidence comes from one big fat cheap 'mall' that is designed to keep people from going to a series of brick and mortar shops. Of course it will do well. That's business that is not going to small businesses on which our economy depends.

when you show a compelling state interest in those skin cells drifting around, the state will pass a statute. Your spit is making people sick so they really care about it more than your dead skin. . Contain it or have the govt mandate you do so. We wear masks as long as the medical community think they are needed. I have no problem wearing this mask for years, and I have no problem with govt forcing you to.

Take your saliva with you voluntarily or govt will order you to.

Nah I don’t think they will order me too.

I’m sure you would not have an issue wearing a mask as long as your masters told you too, it’s the trait of a sheeple.

And are small business suffering from people not wearing mask and scaring off others potential customers or are they suffering from the shut down?

Try and think this thru...if the business felt maskless customers were keeping others away don’t you think they would require mask?
