At least you are consistent when it comes to being wrong.

The BLM protests have not had any significant impact on the CURRENT spike TX at this point in time. It will eventually occur but all you are seeing are just the earliest reported cases rather than any SPIKE at this point. What is happening NOW is entirely because your Governor OPENED up the state BEFORE the virus was properly contained and ALL of the Pandemic precautions and protocols were in place.

Disingenuously trying to blame the BLM protesters when the FAILURE belongs entirely on YOUR governor just flushes your credibility down the toilet but that is YOUR problem, not mine.

    The protests were OUT DOORS!

    Most bars are IN DOORS!

The BARS are a far more DANGEROUS place when it comes to the CONCENTRATION of the vial load in an ENCLOSED space.

Yeah Holy f'n christ, like if the door greeter has the virus, they could spread it to everyone entering the store. One person could spread it to thousands. Then those thousands could spread it to others.

The point is that a door greeter comes in contact with thousands of people and opening your ****ing mouth is a sure way to spread the virus if you are infected.

Not here. The Walmart greeters won't let you get within 10 feet. The self-checkout attendants have a greater chance of coming in contact with the virus than greeters.

Why is the door greeter not wearing a mask? Oh right because it somehow takes away ones entire freedoms.

I am sorry, but breathing on your hand is a VERY inaccurate example, as droplets that one sneezes, coughs, etc are aerosolized and the particles are tiny. The masks protect from larger particles yes, but not the smaller ones. Also, surgical masks do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the mask and your face.

Masks don't have to be 100% effective to slow the spread of the virus.

This is what people wear in a lab, handling viruses, but sure the mask works..

Healthcare workers pictured below, but sure our cloth masks will do the trick. Even healthcare workers who mask up properly have unfortunately gotten the virus. While nothing is 100%, people are putting too much faith in wearing a mask.

Not sure what your point is. Some protection is better than none. That's about all the faith needed in my opinion.

Masks DO NOT PROTECT YOU THE WEARER ,they protect those to whom you speak!!!! Any small droplets of contaminated air and spit leaving your mouth are trapped by the mask preventing it from going into the atmosphere to infect someone else.

If worn correctly perhaps, but keep in mind ALOT of people do not wear their mask properly or utilize proper hygiene in wearing their mask which can be MORE hazardous.

Agreed, but many people don't wear seatbelts either. It's impossible to get everyone to comply with safety rules. That doesn't mean the rules themselves aren't effective.

Anything directly covering someone's mouth has got to be somewhat effective at preventing most of what leaves the persons mouth from going out into the air.

You think we can mandate WHICH bars can be open?

By the way...I refuse to go to any indoor food or drinking establishment even now...although NY has very low infection rates.

I've seen what this thing can do. I've lost friends. It's not worth my health or my life

Makes one wonder if these same people had an incontinence problem, and their doctor told them to wear an adult diaper, would they instead just **** their pants???

To some extent I agree, and I do see your point. In certain scenarios I do wear a mask myself, but there are so many flaws and research where one has to question are they REALLY effective enough?

Like an example being, when people go to restaurants they wear a mask to get in, but immediately pull it down once seated, how effective is that really? Or you have the dipsh*ts that wear it below their nose, or they pull it down to just talk, etc...

I understand that the concept of 'good manners' is anachronistic, but that is why I wear a mask in public.

I don't care what the politicians say. Wearing a mask shows orher people that you respect them and are making an effort to not infect them.
