    I would not kneel, but if I was at a game, but I would turn my back while the "Black National Anthem" played. My reasoning is to not disrespect "the movement" or the plight of minorities or people of color. My disrespect would be completely directed at the NFL. This action is being done for no other reason than to placate at the expense of further dividing the Nation. Some people would say our current National Anthem is the "White National Anthem"......fine. Then stop playing it at sporting events. Stop trying to turn sporting events into a political platforms. People watch sports for a release from everyday life. They watch it for entertainment. Focus on the game itself.

    If players want to utilize their prestige, money, and influence to express their social and political stance outside of the game, then great. Those that want to hear their message or that respect the player(s) will listen. Those that do not respect the player(s) or do not want any social or political message forced down their throat will NEVER listen....and they have NO obligation to do so.

    I'm petty sure most majority groups have a history of doing that to a minority group, regardless of whether that majority/minority difference is a matter race, religion, nationality, etc.

    If we are truly "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"--as The Pledge of Allegiance asserts--then just why do we need a "Black National Anthem"? Does such an anthem not suggest that The Star Spangled Banner is appropriate only for whites--and that we are really a racially divided nation?

    True, but the comment was directed at one group specifically. Not a single person in any group is guilty of anything he listed. Guilt by skin color was inferred.

    Clearly the entire concept of the act of standing for an anthem means something to people slips beyond you ability to comprehend. Perhaps one day you will educate yourself on the matter, or perhaps not.

    So are you saying I have no right to express my opinion? That I have no right to my own beliefs? No, you can take your "azz" to the bathroom if you feel that cowering is the best way to express yourself. Myself, I will stand for my beliefs.

    As a 34 year Patriots season ticket holder, I will be at the game.

    I will stand for our national anthem, but I won’t kneel for the black anthem.

    I will just sit quietly until it is over.

    If they continue this past week#1, I will join in the BOO’ing if it continues

    You are comparing your made up standards to traditions of respect older than any of us. I can already see your problem, you have done nothing to secure your freedom It was gifted to you thus you have no appreciation of the price paid for it.

    Oh, indeedy, the ONLY reason on for the lockdowns 1 and 2 is to harm the economy and prevent Trump's re-election!

    Sadly, the main people who are in favor of prohibiting the lockdowns is the silent "Silent Majority" that Trump and the Republicans who have prattled on about it!

    Most are "silently" because of the fact they are dead, but Trump speaks for them! Honest!

    Of course, the massive number of 'bots promoting such otherwise ridiculous thinking don't "think", they just cut and paste their propaganda and collect their paychecks (mostly in Rubles).

    Go to a graveyard and listen very carefully to the dirt, and listen to the cheers from these veterans over Trump's "wisdom" and hear for yourself!!

    Sure, those cheers are from the Confederate veterans, who are the ones Trump and Putin love and revere, but that is who are majority of Trump voters!

    It won’t continue, it’s a one week pander from the weak willed NFL. They do not stand for anything, they just pander back and forth as we have seen. No doubt week 2 will be military appreciation week to try and balance their public image.

    Do they really expect a 98% white crowd to stand for the black national anthem when we know the majority of the players are going to kneel for our national anthem?
