The replacement will be much worse in a sense their hands will be tied to such extend, they’ll be forced to call supervisor for instructions like “Sarge, this nice peaceful African American gentleman is poking me with his bayonet... what shall I do?” :D

And where, in my post, did I suggest that police do not benefit our communities?
"I am in full support of any movement to review/assess current policies and make recommendations and changes to those that do not benefit the communities they are paid to serve and protect."

We have no way of knowing if they are left, right or apolitical. I think they are opportunists and criminals - both can be found in either party.

And I would like for people not to assume what I think or feel. This, unfortunately, is not the place for that.

I'm a little disappointed that you don't like Swedish death metal. I thought everybody liked it.

What claims? That's the standard protocol for disposing of confiscated property and auctions are notorious for being easily fixed when you're running the auction

And that justifies the cops killing people? I don't think I should pay people who are as likely to kill me as the criminals are. You find that strange somehow?

And here you go again, blaming institution for a deeds of few bad cops.

And no, police are not likely to kill you if you submit to their lawful orders. They will likely shot you if you come on at them, draw a weapon or run. Same applies to white people.

What I think will happen, is there going to go out to call that supposed to be easy ways to deal with they're going to underestimate it someone's going to get hurt or worse and nobody will go on calls after that without a police officer to back them up.

Now that being said. I don't think it's a bad idea to have non police type people accompany police to offer non police solutions that might benefit everyone.

But that's not what we're talking about.

Yeah I don't think you're going to get people that will do this job that don't fit the profile of a police officer.

Getting rid of a system does work it's just slow and replacing it with God knows what is probably not a good idea.

Impractical and outright dangerous to have non-police types accompanying police. They'll be fair game targets to perpetrators, and be without means to defend themselves. Whatcha gonna do, give them guns for self-protection? Not enough, you'll have to train them and viola! They' no longer non-police types!

Sorry, but that still doesn't support your assertion that I don't believe the police benefit communities. Saying that there is police corruption - and saying that it is more than a case or two - doesn't say that police don't benefit communities.

I would think that the greatest benefit to a community would be to remove criminals from said community. Law-abiding, hard-working citizens of a community can't prosper when criminals run amok. If a community glorifies criminals and vilifies law enforcement, no progress will be made in the community.

From what I'm seeing and reading, there is a push to have police officers integrate into their communities more - become a regular face among them. The goal is to keep crime down - have people not fear the police.

When your neighbor Muhammad is a devoted Muslim according to the rather hardcore Saudi Arabian salafists ways yet you judge him of what 0,001% does in the name of Islam... it would indeed be that you judge all white people are like them nazi's that march around armed in the US.

You can't separate what you generalize.

I'd agree with that, but look who's talking - someone who used to pepper his posts about Israel and Israelis with "Them Jews" :D

You really can't see the difference between looking at an individual and looking at a group? You don't think I can generalize white people and also generalize Christians? Going even further, I can't separate Baptists from Catholics? What about Easter Sunday Catholics from go every Sunday Catholics? If you can't distinguish, I guess I know who I'm arguing with and that ends now.

So what you are saying is that you can't generalize about Trump supporters. I would agree.

All cops must get the benefit of the doubt, society demands of them what it demands of no one else.
