Chief Justice John Roberts was hospitalized on June 21 after falling while walking near his home, a spokeswoman for the Supreme Court said Monday.
"The Chief Justice was treated at a local hospital on June 21 for an injury to his forehead sustained in a fall while walking for exercise near his home," said Kathy Arberg, public information officer for the Supreme Court. The fall happened at the Chevy Chase Club, according to a source familiar with the matter.
"The injury required sutures, and out of an abundance of caution, he stayed in the hospital overnight and was discharged the next morning. His doctors ruled out a seizure. They believe the fall was likely due to light-headedness caused by dehydration."

Wow. Roberts has a history of seizures.

There is some some speculation that he will remain on the Court only until AFTER Biden is Elected, and then resign for health reasons.

Would you be in favor of Roberts resigning after Biden is Elected (so Biden can appoint his successor)?

I wish Judge Roberts all of the best and feel it would be a prudent decision to resign after Biden is sworn in.

    What say you?

Nah, he is only 65. It is that aged Lady who needs to resign AFTER Biden gets in.

In an article about Justice Roberts you mentioned VP Biden's name 4 times, hehe.

I remember Biden saying that he was going to put Obama on the SCOTUS.

Then I heard Biden say he was going to pick a women of color.

That eliminates Barack & his wife Michael.

Roberts is not an extremist and has every right to serve on the SC, unlike the clowns trump appointed.
In jail, when they beat you up, they always say the victim just fell down.
I suspect that Alito or Kavanaugh tripped him.
I’d sleep with one eye open if I was Roberts.
And if the dems take over Congress, we should focus on impeaching trump’s appointees and going back to searching for the best person for the job, not toadies for a racist demagogue.
Let’s work to remove the stain of trump from our country.

No, I disagree with the impeachment approach. Gorsuch’s seat should have gone to Garland but Mitch put party above honor. He’s there now and seems to be an honorable and principled man.

Kavanaugh’s nomination should never have been confirmed. His agression at his confirmation hearing was disgraceful and should have been enough to disqualify him. Trump and Mitch could easily have found someone equally conservative without the personal issues.
Ultimately I have no problem with Gorsuch being on the bench. Trump would have got one pick anyway. And as much as I think Kavanaugh should not have been confirmed, I think it would be a really bad precedent to try to impeach him.

Much better for Biden to get in, serve three years, step aside for his VP who goes on to serve 9 years in office.

We had a an impeach Earl Warren movement, but that was because he was too effective at his job, not for being an alcoholic misogynist with a nasty character.
I don’t think anyone should try to pack the court. Let’s always find the very best person for the job and let the chips fall where they may.

I largely agree with that. I can also think of some modifications to the court that could make it less partisan but they’ll never happen.

Assuming the Libs take the Presidency, it may not matter if the Cons retain control of the Senate. If they can stall an empty seat for a year then what prevents them from stalling on one, two or even three vacancies for 4 years?

I doubt he will resign, I hope he doesn’t as he doesn’t always rule with his party and it is good to have a somewhat centrist as Chief Justice. If Biden serves one term and his VP serves two — we can expect Ginsburg, Breyer and Thomas to retire and possibly have Kavanaugh impeached. Replace all of them with justices in their 40’s.

By that point Texas will have likely turned purple (if not blue) and a Republican winning the EC again will be doubtful unless they clean up their party.

I have no doubts this is exactly what they will do. I think it will be a disastrous decision however that will cause even more liberal justices to be eventually appointed. The ‘refuse to do anything’ mantra of Republicans only work for their base, Democrats and Independents do not like it and demographics should worry them over the long haul...

How convenient when big choices are being made now... The Trump taxes.... Even if they say... yes, Trump must show his taxes... They will appeal on the grounds that his head bump may have altered his thinking process. this gets Trump into election without ever showing his taxes. Same old scams...

Cocaine Mitch is I think most likely to get reelected. The Cons are currently playing for the long haul and they absolutely do not care about blowback. Notice that the Scotus recently allowed gerrymandered districts to stand. Cons would be dead on arrival at the ballot without gerrymandering. With the current loading of the courts the US is primed for more favorable rulings for the Cons and Corps for two decades at least. Should the Cons keep the Presidency and the Senate then the Scotus will likely end up with an unassailable 5 if not 6 justices advantage.
