I guess the president of "law and order" only thinks the rule of law applies to us peasants. It's amazing how people just sweep this obvious abuse of power under the rug.
Anybody besides Stone who knows that is probably in Lubiyanka prison, or overseeing their own private 6 square feet of Siberia by now. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was kiddie porn from Epstien's ranch featuring "Mushroom Dick and the Nymphets"
Presidents don’t usually commute or pardon close friends who were convicted of obstructing justice and threatening witnesses expressly to protect that President from prosecution or impeachment. This, like all of the Trump/Barr actions of late stinks to high heaven. The point isn’t that Stone is a danger to society, but rather that Trump is totally corrupt and has no respect for the laws of the land which he swore to uphold. Barr is also a colossal disaster as it pertains to being the head of the DOJ. This slimy disgusting administration can not end soon enough for me.
Trump may have been elected as President but a title still needs to be earned. Trump has earned nothing since being elected, least of all to be called President. By commuting Roger Stone I think Trump has admitted he couldn't care less WHAT you call him, for he doesn't care about the job he was elected to do, the fate of the US or her people concerned. This is no longer about politics, nor a normal political debate, simply because at least one candidates cares about such things. This is about a criminal trying to stay out of jail, by staying in the Presidency, by any means necessary. This is only the beginning of Trumps Great Escape from jail. And, like any criminal, he could take desperate measures not to end up there. Most likely Trump will call the election rigged and object to its result. (His defeat.) But there is fear his insane antics might escalate things beyond anyone's control. https://whowhatwhy.org/2019/07/21/the-worst-case-scenario-in-2020-may-just-be-a-narrow-trump-loss/ As far as the last line of this article goes; I do not agree what happens if Trump loses in a landslide. In that case, Trump will simply claim that such a landslide result cannot possibly be true and is therefore rigged. In any case, a cockroach will not easily surrender its place in the cupboard.
Stone was politically persecuted. The only evidence you need is he was denied 'home arrest' to avoid prisonCovid while the violent Hollywood rapist (and Dem donor...) Weinstein was sent home for the same reason. Stone was sposed to die in jail as an example.
Finally? Can you check back to the day he took office to present and find one positive report? Of course you cannot, there aren't any. Go ahead and check ABC,CBS and NBC and any of the little satellite stations and programs. I'll bet you can find at least 3 per day negative though. Go ahead and use any of the major browser pages. The only thing reliable about your sources are they are reliably anti Trump and that says much more about the state of our news systems than it does about Trump.
Proof that Stone is the key to Trumps exoneration by the Mueller investigation? Fact is, the left spent two years trying and convicting Trump in the media. But nothing in the actual investigation corroborated it.
This marks a new low for Trump, and that's already very low. Perverting the criminal justice system. And the trouble is that his behaviour is becoming normalised, people now expect this kind of thing.
Don't you think that Roger Stone would immediately protest and drag out his lawyers with subpoenas to sue him if it wasn't the truth? Howard Fineman is not your typical inexperienced reporter. That's immediately evidenced by the fact that Roger Stone agreed to speak with him 'at length' in the first place. Fineman is global editorial director of Huffington Post Media Group and before that was Newsweek's Chief Political Correspondent, Senior Editor and Deputy Washington Bureau Chief. He's no schlumpy ****** newsman like Fox's Steve Doocy, Jessie Watters or Greg Gutfeld. Are you really so naive that you would think for a moment that an experienced journalist like Howard Finemen would speak to anyone as high profile as Roger Stone without documenting every word that comes out of his mouth, either with witnesses on the call or a recording of the entire call? Yeah, if you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that leads to the jail cell of Ghislaine Maxwell, to sell you.
Good. non violent white collar criminals should not go to prison. Reserve prison space for violent offenders.
With the small exception of the TEN counts of obstruction they had but were PROHIBITED from acting on
Martha Stewart for Insider Trading? I much agree. People at this level and in this area CAUSE literally thousands of violent offenses, they should go to SuperMax or worse.
Yes but this is just Trump trying not to get impeached for his crimes, before November. Now it seems he won't. Which only increases his chances of surviving until the election. And Trump is still not planning on going anywhere after the election, even if he loses in a landslide.
White collar crime excuses many lesser crimes, and these crimes are those which push many of the people they most victimize into poverty which causes violent crime. It's rather indirect and no excuse anyway, but that doesn't mean it isn't a major cause of lots of suffering.
If poverty causes crime, why wasn't the U.S. a nightmare of crime during the Great Depression? You can always shift blame from where it belongs. Poverty almost never forces someone to commit a crime.
