On 2020-07-013 right before 11:00 AM EDT, the state of Florida just published +12,624 new confirmed COVID-19 cases but "only" +35 new deaths, at least for now.

Florida currently has 282,435 total confirmed C19 cases.

    I mentioned it before.
There is some thing odd about the numbers from some South American countries. Chile, Argentina or Columbia for example. They have case numbers like the UK but under 10K fatalities, UK over 40K.
    Are their stats right ?

Sweden wins. The lock down fanatics lose. The numbers speak for themselves.

Note; When Florida had 50,000 confirmed cases, (May 24th), their Covid19 cumulative related deaths totalled 2,100.

Thus, if 50,000 equates to 2,100, what’s 282,535 equates to?

According to my calculations/conservative projection, among all states, Florida will rank second in Deaths per 1M pop.

Perhaps you could also post the same graphs for their closest neighbours Finland and Norway who have similar demographics and other conditions

    The differences are statistically negligible.

INDIA WILL BREAK OVER 900,000 cases in the next hours.

8 days ago, India surpassed Russia and ended the day with 674,515.
Today, India will go well over 900,000 cases. Right now, it is at 898,680.
And in three, four days maximum, India will break the 1 million barrier in C19 cases, 2 days ahead of my prediction.
    Life comes at you fast!

There's certainly stability in Sweden, but that's largely because the Swedes don't have the political issues we do. The hang-wringing over wearing a mask(or not wearing it), the argument over what's draconian or what's not during a pandemic, etc. Sweden doesn't have these problems, in part because our cavalier American attitude in this instance is the wrong way to go about the virus.

But also in part, Swedes aren't fighting other Swedes, the nation of Sweden is unified. We got hit in an "election" year, with rioters and provocateurs and people who didn't even want to work with Trump in peacetime.

You think they can work with him now

Now express the data in percentage terms.

Norway deaths as a percentage of population: 0.005%
Finland deaths as a percentage of population: 0.006%
Sweden deaths as a percentage of population: 0.05%

When you're reduced to haggling over tenths and hundredths of a percentage point, you know you're on shaky ground.

But let's say, for the sake of argument, that we can tease out the differences between such small percentages. The differences can be attributed to any number of factors that don't involve Sweden's lack of a lockdown. For example, there is an investigation in Sweden into how nursing homes and hospitals denied basic care to many COVID patients. Is it not possible, indeed likely, that many COVID deaths in Sweden were caused by denial of basic care and not the absence of a lock down?

Actually, it's because the virus was never as bad as we were told, and because there was never any empirical basis for the effectiveness of shutting down society in response to a virus. There was never a mask requirement in Sweden, by the way. If I recall correctly, none of the Scandinavian countries had a mask requirement.

The nursing home thing definitely seems to be an interesting common factor. My friend in the UK ended up catching the virus because she's a home care worker. And now, in NY the nurses association wants an independent probe into what happened there. I would support an independent probe in all of the States, but especially the mid-atlantic ones since the callousness was clearly evident.

Ten times worse than nothing is still nothing.

And you refuse to acknowledge the other variables that help to explain many of the COVID deaths in Swedish nursing homes. Why is that?

Cuomo alone is responsible for thousands of unnecessary COVID deaths.

Can't be true. You've assured everyone that it's just a hoax, so how can people be dying from it?

“AMERICA” DIDN’T ABANDON THE ELDERLY TO DIE — ANDREW CUOMO DID. No One Should Be Surprised That America Abandoned the Elderly to Die. And he didn’t “abandon” them — he deliberately sent infectious coronavirus patients to their nursing homes.

At 1,668/M dead, he has the worst record in the world, by a 3rd. He has double the death rate of the 2nd hardest hit nation.

Sweden's deaths per million is worse than the US!

You're again comparing apples to oranges. The percentage is how many death vs how many were infected, not the whole population!
You can't die from covid is you ain't affected by covid.

On Monday, 2020-07-013, for the first time ever, the US state of Kansas appeared on the 1,000-list, having reported the following:

2020-07-013 COVID-19 USA Kansas appears on the 1,000 list for the first time.png

That's the current state of C19 cases in the USA, with about 70 minutes left to go in the day at WorldOMeter.

Oh, and the US-Military reported just under +2,000 new C19 cases.

The figures for California and Texas are probably going to be updated again, I doubt that those are the final figures for this day.

Today, 2020-07-013, Germany went over 200,000 total C19 cases.
Today, Germany added +486 cases and recorded +5 new deaths.
Total deaths in Germany (population: 84 million): 9,139.

In the same time frame it took for Germany to get to 200,000 C19 cases and 9,139 deaths, the USA is almost at 3.5 million cases and 138,000 deaths.

...you do realize that 10x is much larger than "haggling over tenths and hundredths of a percentage point," right?

If we only had 5K deaths, we would be flipping cartwheels right now.
