    And if Democrats had their way we’d be spending double because the entire country would be locked down and we’d all be getting a monthly check to eat Doritos and watch Netflix.

    OMG!!!! This ^^^^ is why the USA is in deep feces. And this is why we have a system reverting back to serfs and lords and an intergenerational aristocracy.

    This, and it's not sustainable unless we fully convert from a militarized State to a social state, but can we afford to do so given our enemies abroad? Will they respect an American withdrawal, could Liberals even do so after blasting Trump for being 'isolationist'?

    The US simply can no longer afford to carry the world's burden.

    That would be one half of the equation. The other is to get rid of the establishment Dems as well as they are incredibly corrupted by their cooperate masters. We would not have a Trump if not for their becoming Republican-lite and abandoning their roots.

    So you lot complain about Trump's spending but want us to be like Europe and have a massive expansion of social programs which would dwarf anything Trump has done.

    Trump has outspent Obama 2 to 1. Trump now has the record for most money spent in his first four years. Trump was outspending Obama BEFORE Covid hit.

    Trump has dwarfed the Obama administration in spending. Hell, they were outspending Obama BEFORE Covid hit.

    We won't learn - It is the nature of Gov't to spend themselves into oblivion.

    It does seem to be a bit of a pattern - at least for the last 3 Blue presidents - being left a huge fiscal mess by the previous red administration.

    Democrats are upset with Trumps spending but had no problem with Obama's. Republicans were upset with Obama's spending but had no problem with Bush's. This is why we are where we are.

    Yes but the Dems don't walk around with the phrase "Fiscal Conservative" written on their foreheads.

    Also - Obama's spending was not his fault like Reagan Bush Trump.
