Not as bad as Trump, Bush or Clinton but I despise him more than them because I voted for him in 2008. Didn't vote for the others. Responsible for genocide in Yemen and Libya. Supported the right wing coups in Honduras and Ukraine. Obamacare was a handout to insurance companies. Supported fracking, favored wall street over working people. And his neoliberal policies and Hillary's contempt for working people gave us Trump.

 

Barack Obama, the guy who once said "at some point you've made enough money" is worth 40 million and still giving paid speeches. I can only assume 40 million does not reach the threshold of "made enough".

I like Obama. I think he should have responded to the Great Recession the way President Franklin Roosevelt responded to the Great Depression. When the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, and when he had 65% approval rating, he should have hiked taxes on the well to do and corporations. For years public opinion surveys have indicated popular support for a more progressive tax system. Then he should have introduced programs like the Civilian Conservation Corps that hired people by the government, to work on projects that are valuable, but not addressed by the private sector of the economy.

With policies like these the the unemployment rate declined from 1932 to 1934. Consequently, the Democrats increased their majorities in both houses of Congress from 1932 to 1934. That gave Roosevelt more power to do more to fight the Great Depression. Instead, the unemployment rate rose from 2018 to 2010. That enabled the GOP to increase their numbers in both houses of Congress and to obstruct Obama's further efforts to deal with the Great Depression.

When Obama said in 2012 "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon Martin," he lost the opportunity to be a post racial president. From then on, whenever there was a racial incident, which is to say, whenever a black criminal was killed at the scene of the crime by a white policeman, Obama took the side ot the black criminal. These incidents often resulted in black ghetto riots.

I will never vote Republican. The Republicans only care about rich people. For me the choice is to vote for the Democrat who is running for an office, or not to vote for that office.

 

Nevertheless, in the fever swamps of Trump supporters there are still millions of whites who think Obama is a Muslim who was born in Kenya. It is difficult to counter a lie millions of people want to believe.

Yeah didn't think you'd come up with anything of any merit to add. BTW you should study a little more history Trump's family came here in 1885 his grandfather who became a citizen in 1892. The NAZI party did not come about in Germany until 1920.

Obama was an average president. Most of the presidents I can remember have been average at best.

 

I don't do links but I remember seeing the Hawaii birth cert. on TV. He definitely produced it. You claim it was a fraudulent cert. but you can't deny that he produced it. I don't think anybody ever questioned Trump's birthplace so it never came up.

 

I dont recall claiming it was fraudulent. The poster claimed he released it BEFORE the election, that is false.

 

It's an issue for anyone running for president, including Obama. People like you who try to brush it under the table only reinforce the questionability of Obama's NBC status.

 

Obama didn't produce his birth certificate until April of 2011.
