Ah the age old dilemma, if you could travel Back in time would you kill baby Hitler? Is it better to sacrifice one to perhaps save millions?
As long as millions flat out refuse to wear masks tens of millions will eventually get sick and the disease never controlled. Do we perhaps sacrifice a few of the idiots to save countless others?
I shouldn't think it'd take more than a few fake coughs and sneezes to get the most ardent anti masker to put one on if just to stop being sneezed on over and over each time they step out.

Don't know. His picture suggests he may have been overweight.

He's dead and that's sad. There's no "moral to the story" because we don't know much about him.

I wonder if he hadn't contracted covid-19 if he'd still be alive today?

Interesting awakening. Since this vid keeps being deleted on FB, worth watching.

The facts are that few young people die from COVID-19. But they can spread it to older people who are far more likely to die, and they put a lot of jobs at risk, often their own, because people won't shop at even close to normal levels with a lot of virus around.

Not many who put on a respirator like this...

We could really cut down transmission if the rest of us had a $50 N100 mask like this...

    ... or this...

The personal protective equipment (PPE) used in low-contagion areas included surgical masks (equivalent to ASTM level 2), latex gloves and gowns (equivalent to AAMI level 2), and disposable round caps.

Masks reduce transmission. Surely you know this.

Schools in British Columbia are seeing how much they can do in the way of "in school" instruction. They ran hybrid schools in June without incident. K-5 went every other day; older students went one day per week. They're looking at the K-5 going full time.

This is where BC (5m people; 600,000 school kids)... is at now...

    When used correctly, sure.

Masks are single use PPE that should be properly disposed of after each use. Doctors don't move from operation to operation with the same mask on their face that was laying on the floor of their car yesterday afternoon.

What kind of fun stuff do you think is growing on the ones chucked into the bin at the grocery store?

If only there were some evidence that a mask would have saved him.

Your mocking attitude is typical of many of Trump's supporters stuck in the mode of "triggering" liberals they don't like. Well over half of Americans want something done to reduce the number of new virus cases and Trump isn't getting the message.

    Trump?

govt can't make you live a healthy lifestyle, not be obese and get diabetes. GOvt can't force you not to inhale any type of smoke be it vaping, pot or cigarettes. Govt can't force you to exercise, to get out into the sunshine or take supplements.

All of that would have made many people less susceptible to having symptoms from the virus.
Where were you with all of those mandates given that you seem to like the govt in every aspect of the lives of others.

So the elderly are at higher risk; that's a given and those elderly folks should stay at home if they are scared. Heck, do we shut down rodeos because the elderly can't participate? How about the NFL? Since elderly can't do that then we should dissolve the NFL

It's called life and a typical, big-govt loving person such as yourself will always look to the govt for the answer rather than look within

A significant portion of the populace is either over 50 or has "pre-existing conditions" that would put their lives in jeopardy should they catch this horror. Another large portion of the population is smart enough to realize that ANYONE who gets this has some risk of death and has a significant risk of serious debilitating illness.

Should all those people "just stay home" for an indefinite period of time...what do you think your precious economy would look like?

if they are scared; yes. Let me put it to you another way, maybe we should draft those folks over 50 and send them first to war. Oh no, none of that. But, let's punish the fit and healthy due to the virus. We need the fit and healthy to become infected so they get the antibodies and donate plasma

Only the rich can do all those things. Or retired people like me who made enough working to retire with surplus assets.

And I have kids and grandkids who will shop for me.
