BS, those leaders that dismissed the medical advice for political reasons is their responsibility. They were warned and threw caution to the wind.

 

So lets open the schools and vote at the polls.

Your child is more likely to die from the Flu. FACT!! My kids wear masks in public and when schools open they’ll wear them there. The masks are to mostly protect the teachers. No one really knows if kids even spread it. I can work from home most of the time. I feel sorry for those that can’t. They’re screwed.

CDC and statistics that are readily available. If you don’t know what the death rate is for children from Covid you have no right even being in this conversation. Google is your friend. Read up on who and how Covid kills. The younger you are the safer you are. You seem rather uninformed.

 

Yet the buck stops at the individual. Peer pressure doesn't negate individual responsibility. I spent years driving that into the thick skulls of my kids as my father did for me. Don't allow your peers to dictate your decisions. God gave you an individual brain so use it.

Our culture no longer stresses personal responsibility! Always someone else's fault! When covid got here it didn't matter what trump said or the dems. I don't depend on either to tell me what to do. It was common sense what to do. And I followed that out of personal responsibility. It was on me not some political party who don't care about me. I don't dance to their music.

Every mistake that I ever made is on me not someone else. That is the right and adult way to live.

So all that I see today are people lacking honesty as they try to blame someone or something else. It's rampant. But I have never wanted to be told what...to...do. In my personal life or my business. I trusted in my own mind and if I made the wrong call it was on me not someone else. I learned and adjusted.

I know from a long life and experience that the buck stops here at the individual level and indeed it does. And find it alarming we have people so blinded by partisanship that they refuse to be responsible and use their own brains. Most of it just common sense.

 

I'm at the CDC website now. Where can I find the info that backs up your claim that the flu is more dangerous for kids than COVID is? No need to get upset. You could be right. I asked you for evidence that backs up your claim . . . which is standard operating procedure for a debate and discussion forum. Do you have evidence of your claim or not? If not, then you "have no right even being in this conversation."

Did or did not Trump state the virus was nothing and would go away all by itself.

Instead you go off on these rants, and indirectly rationalize for the govt leaders that made the wrong decision.

Hey, make all the excuses you want, but the hospitals are out of ICUs, and bodies are in refrigerated trucks. Ironic that those same areas mocked NY and surrounding when drastic changes were imposed to help prevent the spread. Now by your statements, the people of NY, NJ, CT and the like are the only ones taking responsibility
