White Men Need Not Apply

Anyone notice that beginning the past couple of months white men have virtually disappeared from commercials? I'm not sure if its the entire country but definitely in the NYC area. I don't know how they make the commercials currently because film production has supposedly ceased because of the pandemic. Now, if you've ever notice there are many commercials that use supposed 'humor'. But that humor is making a fool of someone and that someone is always a man and almost always a white man. But since white men are no longer in commercials those commercials are also disappearing. These days, every black and woman in commercials is some mythical super hero. NYC is bombarded with 'Census' commercials with blacks cheering other blacks on to fill out their forms so they can get more free stuff. These people are too stupid to realize they hare hastening their own destruction.

 

A few days back I mentioned to my husband that if you are man or woman, with fair skin and light hair in the modeling/acting profession....finding work must be hard. I think a fear of being sued or targeted from making the "wrong" type of commercials is definitely out there for some businesses.

 

I've noticed more globally representative commercials; but not a marked absence of white males, specifically.

 

No. Not even a little bit.

 

I've noticed almost every commercial is either black people or an interracial couple. They wouldn't DARE show a white couple in most commercials. They also made jake from state farm a black guy. Who cares though? Most companies are in the pockets of liberals so this is what they must do to appease them. At the end of the day, deodorant is deodorant, who cares who promotes it? We also need more alienation of white men to make them wake the hell up. It has to get worse before it gets better. They will regret dumping on 74% of the population. I'll be ready with popcorn when it happens.

 

It’s time to disengage from traditional media. Traditional media only cares about advertisers and they are presently assuming that anti white sentiment sells. There is no moral imperative just the ad revenue. They would sell ad space to the Klan if they thought it would sell.

As I always say, follow the money.

I think your ad settings are messed up somehow. What you did to get the algorithm generator to show you ads of diversity I have no idea.

Stuff like this has been increasing for 20-30 years. Kind of the idea from the "Great Society" that if we change the image of black people in the media, we will actually change black people in real life. Symbolism- like putting a pilots cap on a man and thinking it enables him to fly the plane. It's a kind of stupid reverse racism with either good mis-intentions or fears of reprisal, but in truth it's portraying an even less realistic version of black people, and widening the gap between expectations and reality. Pretty damned hard to start from a place you are not at and pretend you are actually going to get where that imaginary path would lead. Another stupid idea brought to you by the left intelligencia.

 

I think it depend on what one watches on tv. My wife and I primarily watch things we can learn from. Otherwise, yes, tv is bad for the brain. It's very telling how dumb we are as a nation when shows like the Bachelor/Bachelorette, Housewives of (insert location) and Dancing with "Stars" are popular.

I don't think white men or people have virtually disappeared, no. However, there are a lot more politically motivated ads, diverse ads to please the masses or BLM ads then what I have seen on TV previously. Infomercials still have white people struggling to tie their shoes or falling down steps..white people struggles are real! Lol

I mainly watch Hulu or Netflix to avoid commercials though as commercials are annoying.

I noticed they switched Jake from State Farm! In one of the ads, they have them both but mainly white Jake has been replaced...

 

I think they are thinking that if they pretend there are no black thugs, there will be no black thugs. No group knows how stupid that is than the respectable blacks of our population, but the white people who think they understand black don't have a clue.

 

Sometimes a little stupid is a welcome break from politics. We vacation with "Ridiculousness"

 

Not only have I noticed, but so have my friends and co workers. But those are for the national commercials. I live in a most Mexican city, and the local commercials feature mostly mexicans with a few whites drizzled in, which makes marketing sense.

A few months ago a drummer for a rock band, I think it was The Scorpions, Tweeted a question about why are so many blacks featured in American commercials. He was blasted for it and deleted it.

If you listen to the left, they want us to believe blacks are disadvantaged and marginalized. But if you watch the commercials put out by the left, and yes, only the left would cast their commercials as "find me black people to put in my commercials,' blacks are wealthy, live in nice homes, have nice families, are the leaders in industry, are the experts in anything that needs an expert, all their kids have belts, and one of them has a motorcycle for a body.

Facebook is now asking me to contribute to ways to help blacks and only blacks, and they now have a feature where we can create rooms, but looking at the ads, those rooms seem dedicated to black people because those are the only people in those ads.

This has been going on for quite a while, but before this started happening it was the white man who was portrayed as a wimpy know-nothing who couldn't tie his own shoes without help from his all knowing, totally competent in everything wife.

With blacks making up just 12% of the population, their appearance in commercials far exceeds what one would think would be normal. Also, with whites and Latinos making up a much larger share of the population, you would think they'd be making commercials targeting them, but they're not. This just doesn't seem rational, especially when a much larger Latino population admittedly hates blacks.

So now my question are why are blacks so important? What quality puts them ahead of everyone else? Do advertisers think social justice sells products?

 

I like the commercial with the black husband, the Hispanic wife wife and the Asian transsexual child talking about pizza.
