The silver lining in an avalanche of bad polling data for Donald Trump is that the people who support Donald Trump are enthusiastic in their support. So I want to know why, if you are support Donald Trump, why are you enthusiastic in your support?

I obviously disagree, but I will refrain from adding to the OP why I do not believe you should be enthusiastic in your support.

Actually, I have lost faith in the entire election process in America. I can't accept a completely incompetent process that can't get a competent person to run for office. My solution? I have one but it is so extreme that I'm the only person who likes it so I won't waste time on it here.

I'm not enthusiastic, nor was I in 2016 (voted johnson) but the dems are giving me no choice. Their candidate is just awful and the supporters are an embarrassment to civilization.

I'd be fine with a do-over, but since that's not happening, I'll just vote red from top to bottom.

Honestly I'd be more willing to give the candidates on the left due consideration if the supporters weren't so dam bad.

He puts Americans First. Much of our government is filled with folks doing who knows what, but it's sure not putting US first.

    THE WINNERS OF JULY:

Even though Gallup has quit election polling, a reservoir of its reporting remains available online; it’s a useful, even revealing resource about campaigns past. For example, in 2008, Gallup posted an article online that noted polls of July are not always reliable indicators of outcomes in November.

    Miscalling the 2012 election

The winners of July who lost in November have been several over the years, and go beyond the cases of Thomas E. Dewey in 1948 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. Among the others in Gallup’s polling were:
Even at the dawn of modern opinion polling, summertime polls proved misleading. George Gallup, then a polling novice, reported in July 1936 that Republican Alf Landon was narrowly ahead of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in electoral votes. Landon led in 21 states with 272 electoral votes — six more than votes than what was needed at the time to win the presidency.

In October of 2016, Trump wasn't a known entity with a record of governance that included more than 150,000 dead Americans from a virus that he said would disappear like a miracle, an economy in recession that is experiencing a record breaking contraction, and a country pushed to the edge of a racially based civil war.

At the verge of violating my own restriction, I would like to significantly disagree with the notion that Biden is awful. Here is my personal vote of recommendation for Biden: http://politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/why-joe-biden-a-non-trump-thread.576004/#post-1071905559

Here is the vote of confidence of Biden from Lindsey Graham:

Because the next elected president will almost certainly nomination at least one Supreme Court Justice. Probably 2.

Trump invited himself to toss out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game because he was jealous of Fauci (also jealous at Fauci's approval ratings), then cancelled his own invitation because he had to "focus" on the virus response, and then he went golfing twice that weekend before tweeting out a video of several people espousing a bunch of wrong **** about covid-19.

The rest of your post regarding a comparison of some of Gallup's head-to-head polling July against the General election is funny because you are both ignoring that I cited to an average of the polls and ignoring the fact that your own piece of evidence demonstrates that the head-to-head polling leader from July almost always wins.

    Good luck with that...:roflol:

NONE of that applies in 2020.

Just like nothing that happened previously to 2016 applied to that Election.

Yet another FAILED attempt at "spin".

    Back to the drawing board.

I support Trump because of those who oppose Trump. The elitist globalists want to enrich themselves by making everyone else poor. They lie about global trade and push myths like racism to keep people divided.

    Fake News.

Biden will continue to "lead" for now.
Then on Labor Day Weekend the polls will "suddenly tighten".

Then it will be a fairly close race until election eve, when the polls with show Biden with a slight lead and the majority will declare him the likely winner.

Only an idiot believes the Fake News polls.

    Nothing I said is inaccurate.

And the October surprise this year will almost certainly be a brand new wave of tens of thousand dead Americans and a worsening economy.

Trump's multiple trade wars are built explicitly around the concept of defining winning as "losing less than the other guy."

I know I am breaking the rules here but I want those trump supporters to remain enthusiastic. I don't want them to waiver. I don't want them sullying the Biden victory, or joining my party. I want them kicking the establishment republicans in the gonads and I want that act returned with greater force by the establishment GOP throughout the rest of this decade. Let them gauge each other's eyes out while they are at it. They deserve each other.

If you are a never Trumper, I wish you well finding a new home where conservative values are respected, and integrity matters. And I want to beat your asses in every election ideologically.

The last few months have shown clearly what kind of America democrats want. Lawlessness, racial unrest, general disorder and cancel culture trying to erase common sense and free speech.

I dont want to live in that America and am actively voting against it.

    How's that? Better answer?

Isn't that exactly what the division within the democratic party is doing to themselves right now?

Yes, it is a better effort. It does not make any logical sense to me though given that all of the **** which has happened in the last several months, happened during Trump's tenure.

Trump is for law and order, that makes the streets safe for my children.
Trump cannot be bought, unlike Obama was and Biden will be
Trump actually cares about this country and is not in this to become rich (see Obama's mutli million dollar home)
Trump understand economics, not one, not one, not one democrat in congress has demonstrated any knowledge of this.
