Are mail-in ballots actually safe from being tampered with?

I don't really think it's asking too much to expect people to actually include the ballot in the envelope or sign the ballot.
Also, if someone requests a mail-in ballot it's upon that person to request it early enough to account for possible slow delivery.

 

Evidently the president and vice president trust the system enough to use it.

 

Then make the president and vice president stop using the fraudulent system you claim is present.

 

You are assuming that there will be millions of bogus ballots. Why do you think that?
As for the organizational side, we've known this could be a possibility for months now, so not being 'prepared' is not an excuse.

 

The way they mishandled absentee ballots here... they used an insider at the post office, who intercepted the ballots and funneled them to the mailboxes of candidates campaigners, then the campaigners, at their leisure , either took the ballots to the houses of the absentee voters (the old and frail) to have them sign th e now filled out ballot, or the campaigners just filled the ballots out them selves and signed an x for the absentee voters. I witnessed part of the process.... NO ONE WOULD INVESTIGATE, all the pols who should have, benefitted from the fraud.
The Dem would not be in 90% of the offices they hold nationwide if not for voter fraud on a massive scale... their corrupt leaders can not chance the Trump Administration further "draining the swamp" and exposing real crime (from the DC Elite.. and most of the Democrats, many of the Republicans)

I am not surprised to hear about your dad being on some mailing lists still. It seems so much money could be saved in printing and mailing cost if someone would clean up databases, but I guess that doesn't matter when you're spamming the entire country.

 

I offered it as a what if, not as a certainty. What better way to screw up our elections when they are no longer spread out and isolated voting booths, but one giant mail-in campaign?

When Obama was critical of Trump on tampering with our elections, in part, Obama said:

"But the larger point that I want to emphasize here is that there is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even, you could even rig America's elections, in part because they're so decentralized, and the numbers of votes involved," President Obama said. "There's no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances in which that will happen this time."

So now we are seeing states doing exactly that with state wide mail in ballots, centralizing elections and inserting new problems, and opening new opportunities for vote tampering and confusion.

 

The dems have been spamming the country since the last election. Life is getting ugly because of it.

 

Mail-in ballots are fine. The problem especially for the Trump campaign is they’re just figuring out they need to shift their resources to “early” voting states. Duh! Yeah, voting starts in roughly a month not November 3rd.

 

Most people understand the need for absentee and military mail ballots. The issue of corruption comes up in the general use for everyone/anyone. We have enough crap being thrown about calling everything crooked right now, we damn sure don't need to make it worse. That's my view of it- and I know that will happen if general mail ballots are allowed. So do you.

 

And if people recall, the Democrats used to look so disapprovingly at absentee ballots, because the lion's share were US military voting to elect Republicans like Bush. So it's curious how the suddenly love, love, love mail-in ballots now.

I think the Dems have found a way to exploit them, purely for political gain. The same way the suddenly became proponents for illegal immigration and against border protection.

 

I'll tell you how it works here in Florida, because I don't know what state you're in.

The "local woman" you refer to is the Supervisor of Elections. That's usually to whom these ballots are sent to. It makes no difference if they're mail in or in a voting booth, in both cases she gets the ballots

Except with mail-in ballots, you will know ahead of time that it wasn't counted. Because you can look it up online. And you can go to the Office of Elections, complain... and if a large number of votes were lost by the same mail carrier, that will definitely trigger an investigation. Same thing if the Supervisor of Elections ripped your ballot. That would not be possible if you vote in a polling place. And, while you're there, you fill in an affidavit... and you vote.

It's more secure than walk-in voitng.

And I don't care if you're a Trump supporter. I'm telling you this because I want EVERYBODY's right to vote protected.

Now... if you insist on voting for the Party that has been misleading you on this... go right ahead.

 

Mail In Ballots are completely different from Absentee Ballots, which a voter requests. Mail In Ballots are pushed out based on bloated voter rolls.

If you're going to pack people in like this, the least you could do is ask them to wear goggles!

 

That is one of the major reasons the mail-in ballots invite mischief and chaos. So many states have not bothered to purge their voter rolls in decades, and people have died, moved, changed their names, etc... so many ballots will go to the wrong address, or to an empty lot or bogus residence.

 

Yup piles of ballots pushed out to houses. Complete Nightmare.

 

Tampering or destroying US Mail is a federal offense. People who do that are taking a huge risk.

I don't think its it's safe. I've heard of a few people that have gotten ballots meant for other people. It wouldn't be hard to fill them out and fill your own out for who you want to be elected. Be it Biden or Trump.

Additionally the post office is notorious for loosing mail. Why are we trusting them to our election results?

 

Sure. How is anyone going to know though? It's not like there is a place to find out if your vote was counted. Plus there's usually a lot of stops between where it was mailed from and the end destination. For instance, if I mailed a letter from where I live to my next door neighbor it would take three days to get to them. And the mail stops at three different places in between. The farthest being 70 miles away....and our post office is less than a mile away.

How many people are arrested per year for attempting to buy a gun when they have felony convictions? Note: there are thousands of such attempts per year.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of rejected or lost mail-in ballot, how can this not be affecting the outcome of elections? Of those thousands of ballots, how many are allowed to be processed even if they look fake or improper, just so candidate A wins?

All it would have taken, was a little less honesty or due diligence and these fraudulent ballots would have been counted. How many times do fraudulent ballots slip into the vote tally because people are either lazy, corrupt or simply missing them? No one knows, how would you measure it? How many times do partisans in charge of counting and certifying votes, allow fraud to occur, if it means their guy wins, and we the public never hear about it?
