Are SJW's bad to hire?

There is supposedly a trend to screen folks to see if they are SJW's and virtue signalers. Any experience to this?

 

Let's just say that there is nothing positive for your company you will get with one.

 

Zero chance that I would knowingly hire one.

My business doesn't need that kind of attention

 

You'd have to be crazy to hire anybody with any sort of "gender studies" or "social justice" degree. You're basically hiring a discrimination lawsuit against you. Those people are brainwashed to be professional victims, and they cannot be placated or coddled enough. They WILL bite the hand that feeds them.

I'd imagine that a big part of an HR/hiring manager's job is scouring the social media of prospective hires and looking for any trace of the social justice poison, and weeding them out as the problem children they are.

 

Anybody else subjected to this crap at work?

 

Now days some big companies the HR department is full of SJW's.

 

Why would a company do that to itself? It's like intentionally putting saboteurs on the payroll.

Because they are companies run by extreme left-leaning CEO's. Believe me, I worked at one. Dealing with the HR was like dealing with Maxine Waters or AOC.

 

I've heard about all the trouble Google has had by hiring gobs of danger-haired genderspecials. These are people who are basically paid a salary to sit at work and dream up ways to get all of their coworkers fired for being "offensive".

It's like Google is a ship, and they intentionally hire crewmembers to drill holes in the hull.

Politics don't belong in the workplace but in some progressive companies you can be fired for your views. It's a big hint you're working for progressives if you have to attend a sensitivity training every week. That's a common practice here in the People's Republic of Marxachusetts. It seems every week there's a new cry from the diversity wilderness. There's a whole new industry popping up with professional crybabies that sue for wrongful termination or employment discrimination. Companies have to have a team of lawyers to refer to during the hiring process. These days a company might be sued from refusing to hire a freak show that is covered in tattoos and has and multiple piercings. I have friend who owns a company who was sued because they refused to hire someone who does not speak english. It turns out this person was an illegal but my friend still lost the lawsuit. The illegal somehow had a SSN a driver's license and a green card and was not arrested nor deported. These days I would not want to own a large company or even a small one, it's like wearing a bull's eye on your back. They call this progress???

 

As a supervisor I was sent to "sensitivy training" by my company as were all supervisors. My boss told me when I got back he would kick "that s**t" out of me. He didn't have to because I didn't buy what they were selling. You folks on the PF know how conservative I am.

Meh, depends on the details/the extent of their activity/reactionism and what you are hiring them for.

 

Is your CEO a man? If you have SJW on the payroll that'd be discrimination because he's not half woman.

Exactly, which is why big companies, especially those with an image to defend (basically, any huge multinational), put their employees through sensitivity training. It's why things like racism and sexual harassment are included in employee handbooks. As long as a company promotes the "equality" issue of the day, and enforces its policy among offending employees, there's nothing an overzealous SJW can do.

I support others' expectations of a neutral workplace with regard to certain issues, and removing potential conflicts is more efficient for the company. It's not that hard to get through the day without a dirty joke or a reference to race. It's not hard to keep politics and religion out of the workplace.

Young progressives are virtually all SJWs. It kinda defines them. It's impossible not to hire one, in the general sense, that is.

 

I used to hire hippies back in the 70's. It didn't take me long to show them what a day's work for a day's dollar meant. I hired females, males, blacks, latinos, gays, and people with green cards. Didn't matter to me as long as they had a good work ethic. Some shaped up, others left, and some I fired. I didn't allow cussing in the department, no prima donnas, no temper tantrums (except mine), and I had a dress code. The HR dept thought I used Gazapo tactics. But the HR didn't have to meet 10 deadlines daily. My boss loved me cause I got the job done.

Just because it is something you made up does not mean that it is something that anyone wants. Imagining boogeymen under your bed is not a legitimate argument.

 

Back in the 60's SJW women were relatively easy now they're just bitter and uptight.

 

I want equal opportunity in America, not equal outcomes. "Social justice" wants everyone to get the same results, regardless of the work they put into their life. I am against that, as it rewards laziness and removes incentive to excel.

Why not ask for handsome looks justice? How about height/weight justice. How about intelligence justice? Right, none are obtainable when human beings are involved. But social justice is repeated by sob sisters who want to look intelligent and caring. They want others to give up something but not themselves. Social justice also sounds great to losers and the lazy. Now you know what righties have against social justice.
