You moderate Repubs should join the Democratic Party, here's why.

All that demonstrates is how little understanding "Alex Schiller" has for the Republicans' stance on issues.

Is that supposed to sway us moderate Independents to your side? Showing us how little one of your own understands about any views to the right of AOC's? Yes, that will win us over!

 

I started a new thread on republican strawman arguments, and each I've seen a number of times, it's no exaggeration.

. Seriously, there's nothing that wrong with most of these people. IMO they hate this country and everything it stands for but that is, paradoxically, their sacred and exclusively American right. They probably are, in their own eyes, good people doing what they sincerely believe is best for America. They're just wrong, that's all

Fortunately, they're not even HALF as numerous as they think they are. In fact, they're such a downright TINY minority that no one should really pay any attention to them at all

And no one ever did, until one or another of the Republican leaders, working with probably the cleverest Russian spy who ever lived, came up with the idea of running a complete crook and total con-man who would use a foreign country's security apparatus to illegally steal the Presidency; and then set up a Party discipline apparatus that would do Stalin credit. (and why not, the security apparatus in question was the direct descendant of Stalin's NKVD and the famous Smyert Shpionam)

Fortunately ( and sometimes I think America really IS God's country, we are soo lucky) the guy who eventually became the Republican leader's flunkey was as ****ing stupid as a box of hammers and batshit crazy to boot. He managed to turn what should have been a small footnote in the science of epidemiology into what is certainly one of the worst economic and health crises in world history. He'd already done a fairly good job of ensuring his own defeat in 2020 but he might have cheated another win if he wasn't so roundly HATED by the American people for having KILLED what will probably turn out to be about a quarter-million of us just to salve what is possibly the most monstrous and unwarranted ego that has ever existed. Yes, we are lucky beyond description even though many of us have died needlessly. While many of us are that most dangerous type of human; one who is well-intentioned but wrongly guided in their naivete. We are so often saved from our leader's evil by these selfsame leaders abysmal stupidity

 

I wish pro lifers would get a life. Nobody is killing babies.

 

What caused the Democrats to shift to the left? Do you think a bunch of radicals joined? What were they doing before joining the Dems? Why did they decide to join the Dems?

You've got it backwards. We conservatives are mocked for championing American traditions and customs, for championing law and order and backing the blue which protects the community. To update a phrase from the 60's, if you don't like police, next time you need help, call antifa.

We ask what we can do for our country, while Democrats ask what the country and do for them. We call for the protection of federal buildings. You either excuse it or pretend there is nothing but peaceful protest going on in madhouses like Portland. Democrats are the Jacobins calling for an end to police funding, to relaxation or even elimination of the border, drivers licenses and professional licenses for illegal aliens, and for doxxing and censoring anyone who offers a politically incorrect point of view.

You might read Matt Taibbi's new piece on how you are running the risk of blowing this election with your contempt for the working class and small town America, just like you did in 2016. At least no one was calling for defunding of the police in in 2016. You've gotten much worse.

For the record, I am not predicting a Trump victory. Pendulums swing in with directions. But it is your side that seeks to destroy America. (Or is it ... Amerikkka?)

 

Truly, if today's Democrat Party hadn't grown so RABIDLY Left-wing, and full of seething, bubbling HATRED for nearly everyone and everything that did 'make America great' (back when it WAS great), your invitation might actually be enticing.

It would surprise many Democrats to understand that many of us Right-wing Conservatives are SICK of today's 'pants-pissing' RINO's in what used to be the "Republican" Party. And, quite a few of us old guys wish that somehow, some way, Democrats would pull their heads out of their asses, and produce candidates more like truly GREAT Democrats of long ago -- like John F. Kennedy! They don't exist. Today's Democrats are so sickeningly hyperliberal and 'progressive' that they reject even fairly decent candidates like Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard.

To say the least, no, you in the Democrat Party do not (NOT) have anything like a 'conservative' wing at all. And sadly, Republicans don't have anyone who can measure up to the standard of a Ronald Reagan, either. It looks bad for ALL of us....

And, if a corrupt, delusional, demented party hack like Joe Biden becomes president, things will become orders-of-magnitude worse! Creatures like Valerie Jarrett will lead him around like a barnyard animal with "a ring in the end of his nose" -- just like she did "Messiah" Obama....
