This is an honest question and I want some honest answers. Not "dog whistle" comments or conjecture or "CRA/VRA" tripe. Southern strategy and code words nonsense. Take a good hard look at why blacks vote for democrats no a days. With 51% of blacks living in cities where mostly democrats rule, the economic mobility for blacks have remained immobile. Those places in which blacks have the largest demographics of an area, and even the control of the entire political structure of the city and possibly state, they always vote democrat and nothing ever improves.

It always amazes me that when ever there is a show or movie about corrupt city politics, they always go to the same cities and they are always ran by democrats. Its the stereotype like Catholic Priests and little boys, or hillbillies with their sisters, its there because its true. The strength of the black voting block of these cities could change the outcome, and I don't mean by voting in a republican, but someone else other than another democrat.

Actually the people who should study this question are the Republicans and the question that should be asked is why do blacks only vote Republican 10% of the time. That might be a way for Republicans to begin to attract more black votes.

I am not asking democrats or republicans anything, I am asking the actual people who vote one way or the other.

Because the Democrat voting positions are far more representative of improving black lives than the GOP are.

    Easy.
Democrats promise 40 acres... AND a mule.

The real question is why do blacks keep voting for Democrats after they routinely fail to deliver.

How so? I get the slogan, but after 60+ years of few blacks actually moving in economical status while living in democrat strong hold cities, when would it be come clear that those promises are lies?

I think it's the same reason whites in the South vote for Republicans.

But there is a distinction between the black vote in Britain and in the US. In Britain the vote embraced Corbyn's progressive politics. It hasn't done the same in the US. America needs to step back and realise just how damaging its 2 Party System has become. It is only effective in one regard: engineering disinterest.

For their upward economical movement and the high job opportunities? Sadly though, its "normal" for the unemployment rate of whites to be around 4%, while we are ecstatic that the black unemployment finally hit that mark a few months ago. But lets be honest, there is more of a black presence in the south than anywhere else in the country, you think theyre here for the government handouts of the republicans, or for the job opportunities?

:applause::applause::applause:Amen. I really think the next highest polling party, or 2, should get the stage with Trump when Biden cancels the debate appearance.

    the answer = race baiting
Why would blacks vote for "EVIL WHITE SUPREMACIST REPUBLICANS"?
They aren't all drinking the kool-aid though. Take Kanye for example.
They usually aren't "allowed" to vote for republicans, just like italians aren't allowed to "hate" pasta

Most Black Americans vote as they do for the same reasons that most Hispanic Americans, most Asian Americans, and the 60% of Democrats who are White vote as they do. They perceive their interests and the nation's ideals and values as being better served by that Party currently.

There was a time when most Black Americans voted Republican, but the Parties, not the People changed. The People persisted in the same self-interests and perception of national ideals and values.

Why can no one actually give a good answer. I am asking about why blacks, NOW, TODAY, still vote democrat even though very little upward mobility has come from doing so for the past 60 years while the majority live in a democrat city that is ALWAYS democrat.

Black Americans recognize that it would be worse for them under the republic party, apparently. Why else? Surely, they would not vote in large numbers against their perceived self-interests?

Actually, NO. When you look and talk to people in communities like black communities, their ideologies actually most line up with republican platforms. From economics to police retention, to faith and God, to a lot of home structure ideals. Same especially goes for Asians and Hispanic Americans. These groups don't want to cut funding for the police, or communism, or partial birth abortions. They don't think blacks are too stupid to get a voter ID.

Youre talking about in the 1940s? Cause that's when most of the change happened. And I get why it changed then, and in the 1960s, but since then, why would generation after generation still vote for the party that runs cities where the poverty of blacks is the worst? Where the majority of death of blacks due to crime and police brutality reign supreme? White families can switch their party affiliation from generation to generation, hell, the same white person can go from one party to another as they get older, so why is it that blacks don't? Asians and Hispanics aren't as hardcore democrats either.

Kinda like how slaves did not rebel against their owners because they thought they couldn't do any better.

And? It wasn't the republicans that shamed Herman Cain or Ben Carson for running as a Republican.

Democrats are fine with that as long as the top office is a white guy.
