Unemployment is still worse than the worst part of the 2007-08 recession.
And in order for us to get to this point, we had to raise the National Debt by over $3 trillion dollars - and it looks like
another $2 trillion before the end of the year.
We're the guy down the street with a $5 million dollar house and $25 million in credit card debt.

It's just putting off the inevitable.

Me-thinks you're hanging that "mission accomplished" banner a bit early.

Of the 2 possible directions we can go, this is the best one.

Only 12.9 million to go to get back to the pre-pandemic level.... At 1.8 million per month, that's only 7 months to go!! But reasonable news nonetheless...

Too bad Trump won't be around to celebrate the "Trump recovery"

If we want to dump our bad decisions on to our grandchildren, it is.
If we want to be responsible adults, it is not.

It took a global pandemic and recession to bring the economy down to Obama levels.

Bad news for Democrats, the economy is on it's way up. The analogy I use is, let's agree for the moment that the KC Chiefs are the best team in the NFL. If they lose their great QB on the DL for 3 weeks it doesn't mean they still don't have a great team.

Since there has been no adult in charge in my lifetime, I suggest giving your grandchildren gold, silver, and real estate.

It took two wars and the worst international recession in 90 years for the economy to be at the level it was when Obama walked into the office.

If you can blame Obama for the recovery from two wars and a recession that were in full swing on the day Obama walked into the White House, then you have to blame Trump for the current levels of the economy ... and that includes raising the debt more in 4 years than Obama did in 8, and higher unemployment numbers than any time during the Obama years. It is what it is.

Trump signed off on every spending bill during the last 4 years ... he made no attempts to veto. The debt is his and the Republicans every bit as much as the Democrats.

Somebody else completely agrees with you...

    SNIP
Paul criticized his fellow Republicans for considering the bill Wednesday, saying he wouldn’t vote for it.

"They should apologize now to President Obama for complaining he was spending and borrowing too much. He was a piker compared to their borrowing and what they’re doing now.”

    They go back to work.

It is insane that while so many people are hurting because of coronavirus and the shutdowns, we have a segment of the population doing better than ever before thanks to the unemployment $10k windfall (you read that correctly, $600/wk for the four months it was in place equals nearly $10,000.)

Why is it conservatives only care about the debt when a Democrat is POTUS? LOL

Trump got in and the cons are all "what debt? #MAGA!"

Problem is that we are likely to remain in partial lockdown for at least another six months to a year. I don't see how many companies will be able to hold out and we are going to see some bad news in the coming months. We have also seens an annual GDP decline of -33% in the past quarter.

So that's an annual income of $30000? Wow.... You can go straight to Millionaire Estates instead of Countryside Acres with that...

    More accurately.

Its like a business that makes 20 trillion in revenue every year, averaging a net profit of 3.3 trillion and holding debt of 26 trillion.

    For perspective.

They are also trying to claim the current unemployment rate is only 10.2 % which is at least 10 % underestimated.

This. Now that the Republicans think they are going to lose in November, they are suddenly worried about the Debt.

    The hypocrisy is getting deep.
