"...More importantly, even those who believe that hydroxychloroquine is helpful against Covid say that it is only effective if taken very soon after catching the disease. But many people are asymptomatic (at least at first), and don’t know they have Covid until it’s too late.

So how can you know to take something when you don’t even know you have a bug?

Fortunately, the main active ingredient in green tea, epigallocatechin gallate (“EGCG”) has been shown by a team of Spanish scientists to be 60% as powerful a zinc ionophore as clioquinol, which is the world’s most powerful zinc ionophore. Dr. Juan Bautista Fernández Larre – a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili – and his team have published several scientific papers on the topic..."

I guess I can expect to see all the green tea sold out when I next visit the grocer.

I can't comment about that study.

But it wouldn't surprise me, green tea is massively good for you. I drink 24 oz of green tea.

First thing you need to know, is most supermarket green tea is bad. And the good stuff ain't cheap, at least, that's been my experience. I spend quite a bit. (Sorry, I won't tell you what I do)

Second thing is you want the water in the neighborhood of 185F. A bit more or less won't hurt, but boiling water is just too much. You only brew it for a minute. That depends on the tea, they say to brew some green tea for 30 seconds. I find that to be too short a time.

First thing I do in the morning is put on the kettle. Later, if I am going to ride the bike, I fill a thermos with hot green tea and put it in the bottle holder. Even if I don't go out, I'll make that second 12oz pot. But I thought you might find the idea of drinking hot tea on a hot day of riding to be amusing. I certainly do.

    But it works for me.

I had no trouble, last week, perhaps I should grab another box.

I'm a semi regular tea drinker, only a couple mugs of hot green a week, perhaps i should step up my game. I drink lots of cold unsweetened store bought but always assumed it was useless, it just keeps me from drinking soda or sweet juices
