    When are these "peaceful protests" going to stop...? Coming from a 'libertarian' mindset - I don't want a Federal force to be mobilized, yet, what are the recurses in maintaining State rules and regulations in the face of State led abdication of control & legality? - Ohhh, I forgot, there is a double standard when it applies to 'progressive' / regressive ideals... What utter hogwash!

    So? Why would would anybody even use that term?

    It was an organized criminal activity that had ZERO to do with any kind of "Protest".

    Why anybody would refer to the actions of organized criminals as a "Protest" is beyond me.

    Have you heard what this riot was about? The police were responding to a call of a man brandishing a firearm in the Englewood area. When they got there, the man took off running. The officers gave chase. The thug then turned and fired at the officers, and they returned fire. The suspect was struck, but it does not look like he was killed. The riots began when the BLM started telling the lie that a baby had been killed.

    Another riot brought to you by the fake news supporters.

    I live in Chicago area, and must say that, to Lightfoot’s credit, they raised bridges and arrested over 100 people with Lightfoot demanding felony charges. She is doing a heck of a lot more than mayors of Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, and others.

    The "Magnificent Mile" was apparently a bridge too far.
    BLM/AntiFa was also successfully and quickly trained to stop rioting in Beverly Hills.
    Funny how that works. ;-)

    "Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot slammed looters and rioters who descended upon the downtown area early Monday morning, calling the overnight events “an assault on our city” and telling criminals, “We are coming for you.”

    “We are not going to let our city be taken over by criminals and vigilantes,” the mayor later added.

    [Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown] said the department is creating a “special team” of investigators tasked with scouring the hours of camera footage obtained overnight and asked any members of the public who took videos to share them with police.

    In the meantime, he announced that officers would be working longer, 12-hour shifts, and "all days off" would be canceled until further notice. The city will also be restricting downtown access from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., he said."

    The "mostly-peaceful protestors" are planning on taking the rat pack down to the police station tonight and demanding that their looter rat friends be let go scot-free.

    Too bad, BLM owns this violence now. EVERYBODY knows this is inspired by the BS lies that BLM and Antifa spread about our heroes in Blue. And it was the failure to act in Portland, Seattle, and other liberal run cities that emboldened these rioters. This is what BLM represents in the minds of the American people now.
