Gentrification isn't necessarily a bad thing for a city's economy and how its services the people. I would expect overall interest in moving a business to a potentially dangerous area to wane. Perhaps medium to large biz will consider a more rural approach? Or just outside bedroom communities, anything that's some distance away from big cities, I know I'd be thinking that way.

We live in a pretty far west suburb of Chicago, and my wife is a Realtor. She just came out of their statics/strategy meeting, and told me there is a new phenomena happening here. The west burbs homes are selling instantly, with multiple offers, and usually way over asking price. This has been happening for a good month now. Turns out that the buyers are a much heavier than usual percentage of Chicago residents. The analysis is that people are leaving the city to escape in a significantly higher percentage than ever before. They have determined that rioting and looting is driving this, along with the increased crime rate, etc. Looks like good intelligent folks are waking up. I'd call them woke!
