States don’t have the money to kick in the hundred... so it’s cut in half at best.

And then the mechanics of what Trump is trying to do are so messed up that it will be many weeks before anyone sees a dime

It needs to be combined with spending cuts. I would cut government employees by 10% and have the other 90% work 10% more. (One less nap should make up the difference!)

 

~ Good suggestion. However those 10% who are dismissed from government is not an easy task - government employees are difficult to remove. Sadly even if possible that would add to the unemployment roll. I like the "work 10% more" and a freeze on pay raise.

Taxation is Congress's authority, not the President's. But I suppose Trump will never tire of wiping his ass with the Constitution.

Even that seems a bit much for Presidential power. But essentially it means "don't spend it, cause the government may take it back". It's some half-assed way of trying to show some movement without actually moving.
