There is no Communism in this country and there never will be and it has no support to start with. The right is way closer to being Nazi's then the left is to being communist. This is my favorite stupid test. There are very few tenets of socialism and communism and none exist in this country. The right thinks social programs are communist . Then if that’s the case they were communist before the time of Christ. There is only one that counts and it is the first one , The means of production is owned and controlled by the state and the sale of that production is charged to the state , without this there is no communism or socialism. Its the stupid test because as soon as you say it, attacking democrats with it , you are saying" I am stupid." That seems to be the bumper sticker for the right wing. The only way this hate group can make this so, is if they get to define what communism is themselves but it already has a definition and that definition says theirs is stupid.

1) Yes, there is. Plenty of collectives practising bona fide communism in America. Religious groups, hippies, extended families, farming networks, etc.

2) The ONLY tenets of both (and they're the same) are that no profit is generated, and there is no buying and selling of labor. The other is - if you don't work, you don't eat. That's it. If it doesn't meet both those criteria, it's not communism.

3) It doesn't matter a good g-d damn who owns the capitalist enterprise and buys and sells the labor, if it's capitalist enterprise it's capitalism. Further, if the people (any of them) are able to eat while not working, it's most definitely not communism.
