The male-only draft severely limits out nation's ability to fight a war effectively. Warfare is becoming more and more technological and we don't need male strength as much as we used to and there are many military roles women can easily fit. We also have a lot of obese and overweight people who aren't fit for military service, and an aging population, so we need a larger pool to choose from. Also, consider that a male-only draft is an obvious case of discrimination.
