It really wouldn’t have. Slaves were people with the ability to think, reason, experience pain, sadness, happiness, etc. The horrors of slavery were experienced by real living people.
A zygote has none of those qualities. It can’t think, feel, or reason. It is cells with potential to be something. Or nothing. That’s it.
