So no prominent, just has been's. The first two I haven't heard from in over a decade and the last a losing gubernatorial candidate who supported Clinton last time................not too impressive.

So do I. Masks are for morons. Masks do more harm then good. Wearing a mask in public is a bad idea, hindering our natural respiratory system within our normal environments are a bad idea.

Wearing a mask is harmful to the wearer and provides no benefits to others, I am pretty sure that I have been consistent on that.

The human respiratory system is designed to protect us, wearing a mask in the general public diminishes the performance of our respiratory system (which harms us) and provides no tangible reduction of contaminates in the environments where we go that would help others.

Mask wearing in public is 100 percent a bad idea with 0 percent benefit to anyone

Sure. You used the webmd article that said 97%-99.7% survival. That means that 0.3%-3% die from the virus.

The upper end of that range matches calculation provided by looking to the confirmed case counts in the US (5.614 million) divided by the number of deaths in the US (173.8K) and you get a mortality rate of 3.096%.

If you use the CDC estimate that the number of confirmed cases is actually 10x higher, you get a mortality rate of 0.3096% (assuming that we are not significantly undercounting Covid-19 deaths and we almost certainly are doing that as well).

The Candace Owens meme said that 0.04% die from the virus.

0.04% is roughly 10x lower than 0.3096% and it is roughly 100x lower than 3.096%.

 

Please elaborate for us on how wearing a mask "diminishes the performance of our respiratory system and harms us."

 

Democrats at the convention claiming the protests are completely peaceful while at the same time a democrat is charged with two felonies for destroying a statue while protesting. Timing is everything.

 

I wonder what everyone id doing during the convention since almost everything is pre recorded.

Yes they have just convicted the officers involved of murder which has NOT been determined by the evidence and in fact a good defense attorney is probably going to get them off of that charge. Did they or the Democrats note that Floyd was a career criminal criminal including beating his children? That he had just passed a phony bill in a store and had all those illegal drugs in his system that contributed to the cardio-pulmonary failure he experienced before he was ever on the ground? Did the show all the violence and anarchy at the BLM riots? Did they show all the police being not just attacked and injured but killed? Did they discuss the failure of local Democrat leaders to protect the civil private citizens and their property?

Fauci never said wearing a mask could make it worse and Trump mocked that reporter after the CDC issued the guidance that everyone should wear a mask.

Trump also mocked Biden for wearing a mask in public and mocked people for wearing masks because he believed they did so just to express their disapproval of trump.

It was kind of creepy watching everyone's eyes shifting left, shifting right, shifting left, shifting right again. Reading teleprompters to a camera.

I know in normal years, people use teleprompters, but usually that's not so distracting because of the interaction with live audiences, which allows for spontaneous breaks.

There were no natural pauses or breaks in anyone's speech. Just shifty-eyed script reading. Eerie!

Guess John, Miit and others are like figures without a country until there are enough to form their own.....not in my lifetime, or ever for that matter. Republican favorability is like 97%. That gives them a slice of 3% if that. Wonder how much respect they get from the Dems? other than just being "useful chattel"

 

Considering they had months to plan this and access to the most advanced technology, not to mention the support of most of Hollywood one would think they could have put together something together that didn't resemble a PBS telethon done on a string budget.

 

They will form their own party called the Party of Misfit Republicans.
