Yeah, you’d think being on a message board folks would realize there is also a digital audience. As in television rating plus digital draw equals the viewership of an event.

I realize mentally many right wingers are stuck in the 1950’s at the latest but, we also have to consider the Trump effect. RW media and the President himself—to be kind—try to “protect” their audience from reality.

The TV ratings were down for the D convention on Monday and Tuesday, but was viewership down? No. They broke the digital record for an event on Tuesday or the audience total equated to more than ‘16.

Maybe an asteroid crashing thru the roof would temporarily improve ratings as many of us otherwise disinterested citizens would tune in to see if Bernie Sanders was the only surviving Democrat , and, ironically, becoming the next best Dem candidate for POTUS

Usually conventions are made to play to the base and then the campaign after that is for the moderates and independents. Either Joe comes out of hiding, Kamala takes his place campaigning while he hides or they just hope they win by default. None of those are winning options. "Orange man bad, USA is racist, Joe is a nice guy" isn't going to cut it.

Oh sure it did, that's why you didn't include a reliable source for your claim.

After Biden embarrassed Obama with some of his flubs, they hid him away for most of the time. I can see a Biden admin would be similar to the Star Trek episode "Patterns of force" where Kirk's old friend appeared on TV with his mouth moving, but someone else was doing the talking.

~ Yeah - DNC convention catastrophe ratings were steller. More watched `America's Got Talent ´.
We will wait on evening four to see a blockbuster audience. Joe may even make a "special" appearance ! :pc:

A total of 16.7 million isn't bad, noting that the trend is more people going to the internet and other sources away from TV, in general is the trend.

Given that Trump only won by a paltry 77,000 votes out of 165 million votes cast, it's logical that more than that, in that 16.7 million, were persuaded to vote for Harris & Biden

As dem, every dem I know is elated about Harris.

This has been a great convention. I've been watching it every night. The Republicans can only hope their convention is half as nice.

Basketball, hockey and baseball are being played? It's August, why are hockey and basketball being played?

This is just going through the motions for the dems. They put up a terribly weak ticket, they know they will be slaughtered in November. The bill is coming due and they don't anyone noteworthy or 'future of the party' to be in a position to be caught holding the bag.

The only way I'm watching that snooze fest is if Tom Perez allows the DNC's Senile Trainwreck Carnival Freak to deliver a live faceplant to the nation from his underground lair:

Maybe if they put him on a Nootropic drip this morning he'll be able to put a few coherent thoughts and sentences together this evening...

i’ve tried to watch some here and there...a ton of lies about trump, threats to commit chaos if they lose, bitterness, the only bright spot was AOC she was at least honest about the party’s socialist goals

Little children I think are liberal because they need to be taken care of and want there to be aplenty always and forever. So we set the voting age at eighteen with the hope that by then, they will have matured enough to vote wisely. Looking about, this is clearly not happening. So I propose that we raise the voting age to 25 or 30 because while we should not and cannot prevent growing up, we should and can prevent foolishness from prevailing in our choices for the future of our country.

Oh ya, who doesn't prefer to watch an old democrat hopeful on a tiny phone or PC monitor.. Those crappy 50" ultra HD rigs show way to much realism for the average democrat voters!!
