Confidential sources have always been used in investigative journalism. One such source took down a president. We didn't learn his name for decades. Dismissing the sources out of hand is a sure sign of panic. Innocent people don't panic. They explain themselves.

Using only common sense we can see this story is true. It comports with Trump's behavior and past statements. It does have names connected to it. The most important being the author. Jeffrey Goldberg didn't become the editor of the Atlantic by making things up. And Gen. Kelly, though he doesn't support Trump, can provide clarity by telling us whether Goldberg is lying or not. I haven't heard anything from him. Somebody should ask.

You can't blame someone for not joining if they got a high lottery during viet nam, it was not a popular war, and I was 19 at the time, but you can blame someone if they faked bone spurs to get out and wanted to become president, which a rich guy with the help of rich dad can easily find a corrupt doctor and pay him enough but a poor man cannot.

I got out on the lottery, too, I was 1A, and I did nothing to change my classification from March until December ( lottery held in December) I didn't enroll in college just to get out, or fake some medical condition, like a lot of dudes did, I just took my chances and got lucky. but I wound up joining anyway, 10 years later.

I entered the draft in March of '69 because that is when I turned 18.
THe lottery came in December of '69 and I my lottery number was 209, and they only drafted up to numbers 195, so I got lucky. .

than the lottery was introduced. So, how did he avoid getting drafted for four years? Probably due to a college or law school deferment, then when the lottery came, while still being on deferment, he got lucky.

I did not do that, I was exposed and draftable, from March to December of 69 without any deferment.

 

He got numerous deferments prior to getting the high number including one very shady one because he joined the national guard and ten resigned after he got his high number.

So, given the above fact, given that Mary Trump as asserted that Trump threatened to disown DTjr if he joined the army, given the record of Trump disparaging McCain for being 'captured' and disparaging a Gold Star family ( Kahn ) Given that the Atlantic story is now confirmed by AP, ........

every word in the Atlantic article is consistent with his publicly known behavior.

McCain is a gentleman and an honorable man, not the kind of person who holds grudge, he's a far better man than Trump.

And, during the video, Trump did call him a loser. That fact is undeniable.

The president also donated to Hillary, but he wanted her locked up and tried to find out from McGahn on how to do it. He gives purely for political advantage reasons, quid pro quo expectations and he's publicly stated it. Trump NEVER donates to anyone because 'he likes them', so that's not proof countering his anti-military behavior.

 

I think the only thing that is true here is that TDS is very real and probably needs to examined by some abnormal psychology professors. I'm telling you there are awards to be won.
