    The issue is indeed the writer. Goldberg has been at the Atlantic for 13 years. He's won a couple awards. In other words, he's not a rookie. He knows how to verify sources and claims. He's done it for years. Lots of work out there for us to read.

    The story is credible, because believing the opposite is absurd.
    Believing multiple sources, from various environments, are engaged in a conspiracy against Trump; and that these sources conspired to fool Jeffrey Goldberg into writing this article, would be naive.

    Corroboration goes a long way. It works in court, and it works in journalism as well. Too many people have been saying the same things about Trump. The only defense to any of these charges has been "fake news." Voters aren't dumb. This is only going to hurt Trump. Maybe fatally.

    Are you unaware of what Trump's rabid supporters do to those who publicly call him out? Not just nasty tweets, but they sometimes find his detractors, go to their homes, and terrify them and their families.

    This is an unfathomable level of disrespect for the Military.

    The Biggest Disgrace ever to serve as Commander-in-Chief.

    Trump is so inept that he makes James Buchanan look like George Washington.

    And, to top it all off, he makes all of these Egregiously Disrespectful Statements (that in essence irreversibly sullied the legacies of every veteran who ever served)...

    Democrat desperation and craziness is so palpable you can almost hold it in your hands now. They have come up with stupid stories before, but this one is especially crazy even for them. Democrats ——get a life! Wow! He has HONORED soldiers throughout his presidency. I guess Dems think that soldiers make up a big constituency. They are the ones who are anti military.

    They just keep circling the wagons and repeating the lie. Its almost beyond desperation - they are losing and they know it. The story is not even believable on its face, its like the piss papers - totally ridiculous.

    John Bolton, in his now passe` book which was supposed to end the Trump presidency, The Room Where It Happened, happened to mention the weather incident, telling a story of weather, not whether:

    "On Saturday, I went to the US Ambassador's residence, where Trump was staying, to brief him before his bilateral with [French President Emmanuel] Macron. The weather was bad, and [then White House Chief of Staff John] Kelly and I spoke about whether to travel as planned to the Château-Theirry Belleau Wood monuments and nearby American Cemeteries where many US World War I dead were buried," Bolton wrote. "Marine One's crew was saying that bad visibility could make it imprudent to chopper to the cemetery. The ceiling was not too low for Marines to fly in combat, but flying POTUS was obviously something very different."

    You don’t know what you’re talking about as usual. Clinton got preferential treatment to avoid the draft because he got his draft notice. I suggest you look his sordid story up before you talk about others...
