Remember that debate Biden did in which his own VP pick accused him of being a racist?

Hmm... Well then, explain how the one case doesn't overcome the generalization that you're defending. If there is racism, and there is inequity, and the culture doesn't support black exceptionalism, then how did Trevor get to where he is? You're creating a exclusion to justify your own generalist, are you not? Your thesis is that you believe in something, but when shown examples, you're unwilling to consider them because they undermine your narrative. That doesn't seem reasonable. Nor does it explain your own ad hom. It does seem consistent though.

Look, lets try this example. Let say there is media bias against Trump. If we found one case where the media is not bias against Trump it does not mean media bias does not exist. It just means you have found an outlier event. So just as we can use Trevor Noah as an example now or Jack Johnson as an example in the early 1900s. Just because Trevor or Jack succeeded does not mean that systemic racist does not exist.

The Biden team is never going to go for that. They'll probably want Biden to appear via a monitor so he can have his team feed him answers.

That’s just the sort of food fight all the Trumpsters will love.

This is Rogan trying to get a bump for his podcast, while the reality tv President plays along, hoping to juice his base.

Me, I don’t pay too much attention to comedians. And I certainly don’t want one hosting a serious debate.

    "Comedian"

Rogan hosts the biggest podcast in the entire world.

Rogan's podcast has an audience of like 12 million listeners.

Joe Biden's dumb podcast would be lucky to crack 10 thousand.

Compared to Rogan, Joe Biden is the clown.

Rogan is no fan of Trump, but I do trust that he would treat them both fairly.

I would like George Carlin moderate. He understood the BS of politics. Too bad he is gone.

While I think both of those men give good political commentaries, & let's say for argument's sake could handle a debate (the hardest part might actually be remembering that the spotlight isn't supposed to be on them), but they are clearly neither of them politically neutral enough for Trump to agree, & no one could blame him (& this comes from a Nader voter). I mean, it would be tantamount to having Hannity & Bill O'Reilly run a debate. Is Biden gonna walk into that?

Also, there's the issue-- I'm sure at least in the eyes of the Press (so Biden, at any rate, will be concerned about it)-- of their not having EARNED such a weighty responsibility, ahead of all the veteran reporters hoping they might get the chance.

So it's not gonna happen, though I am a bit disappointed. I'd really love to see a midpoint intermission with both men showing their bravery in a shark- cage challenge.

Would the debate be run like Joe used to run Fear Factor? I can just see Trump and Biden competing in crazy stunts. You know, kinda like the campaigns have been so far>

The system will not allow a real debate. It will not allow a debate outside of the controlled mainstream media.

Presidential debates used to be run by League of Women Voters, but the controlled MSM put an end to that. Since then they have become a complete farce.

Maybe Joe Rogan can restore some dignity.

    Sort of..

First, yes, the League of Women Voters was better. It wasn't perfect, politicians had to dance more then, but it was better.

My memory of that is that the politicians didn't like it, and simply changed the format.

I watched part of a Rogan video once. Not impressed. I would like to have the League do it again. MSNBC does real time fact checking in election debates. I'd love to have that available to moderators. That'd melt Trump down to his socks.

I haven't been able to think of a logical reason to watch a "normal" debate, but a Rogan debate would be interesting enough to pull me in.

    Fk the mainstream media.

Fyi, I literally on my drive just heard the debate idea suggested on the 9/11 podcast with Tim Kennedy. Very good interview.

I actually don't think it would effect his chances of winning either way. I don't believe there are very many undecided voters who are waiting on the debates to help make their decision. Biden has been yammering incoherently for months so it's not like doing that on the debate stage would really make a difference.

They just don't want to give Trump supporters ample video for mockery purposes.

Trump gives himself ample video for mockery purposes!

And yammering incoherently is a Trump trait.

Is that why I see a political ad every 2 minutes, because there aren't many undecided voters?

My DVR is working overtime, I can't watch anything live for another 45 days.

That's a different issue. That's PAC's raising and spending money. That's more a grifting operation than doing anything to change the trajectory of the campaign. It's very profitable. I remember Karl Rove was head of a PAC in 2012 and even though his candidate lost, Rove won since he walked away "earning" 42 million dollars.

So the commercials will continue to run.
