what do you mean? It's there...it's helping people....the left hated that he did it....but he had to act over their obstruction

Have you read McConnell's bill? Have you read the bil that the House dems passed months ago?

Here's a handy, comprehensive side-by-side analysis of both bills:

    https://www.gray-robinson.com/news/...-the-senate-heals-act-vs-the-house-heroes-act

There are good things, and not so good, from both bills.

One of the biggest sticking points is the Liability Protection in the GOP bill. They want a total immunity from lawsuits or prosecutions for employers, whether or not yhey comply with OSHA or other national agency guidelines on COVID-19 workplace safety, while Democrats specify that all employers must maintain OSHA standards.

Who said anything about the House working with the Senate? At least you looked it up. But looking it up at the last minute to save face doesn't mean you understand it. The majority of the majority is used by McConnell constantly. As in this case. He will not bring the Heroes Act to the floor of the Senate for a vote because he knows it will probably pass. That's the Hastert Rule.

SO you were once again wrong. You clearly don't or didn't understand the Rule....it's obvious.

The Heroes Act...the three trillion dollar Nancy P bill that has little to nothing to do with the Chinese Virus has no chance what so ever to pass the Senate.

The Senate doesn't need the majority of the majority because it's the Senate..they need 60 votes to end debate then a simple majority.....to make it law. The majority of the Senate, 51, does not support the Heroes ACt.

    Stop desperately making things up

I see that you want the Dems to rubber stamp anything the GOP proposes, without compromise. That's not how it works, however. And, if Biden should get elected (which is far from certain, IMO), the GOP will be back to their old "party of no" ways.

The hell they are. The Heroes Bill amounted to 3 trillion. Moscow Mitch countered with 1 trillion and refused to budge from there...and then reduced THAT by half.

Is that your idea of compromise?

Pay attention. The "meager" referred to the one trillion.

Jesus dude. Get SOMETHING right, will ya?

And I keep hearing about "pork". When asked to detail that pork...no response

As far as "blue state bailouts"...ALL states are hurting because of the pandemic and those worst hurt are a mix of red and blue that do NOT include NY

Not at all...I would just like the Dems to actually come compromise...it seems the GOP and WH has bent over backwards...and the Dems simply block anything that's not their 3 trillion dollar bailout to lib Govs and legislatures

They already compromised and came back with a $2 trillion proposal. To which the GOP said: My way or the highway.

Nope the GOP came back with another proposal then Nancy P had to fly to San Fran to break an Order and get her hair done....

Now that some Dems have left the hive, and joined the GOP and WH with a 1.5 trillion dollar deal...let's see what Nancy P does...my guess...continue to block it, and hold Americans hostage

The Democrats are quite open and clear about this. They want a trillion dollars to bail out New York, California, other states and some cities et al of their dire financial shape that has nothing to do with the virus, and nothing else counts for anything. Help the people hurt by the pandemic??? What has that to do with the Dems sustaining or gaining political power???

Then why wouldn't Mitch McConnell bring it up for a vote on the floor?

No they don't. Mitch McConnell has passed many things with less than 60 votes. He even appointed two Supreme Court Justices.

However, that's a lame excuse. McConnell hasn't brought it up for cloture (or for debate) either. I suspect that it's because even that vote would pass.

You have too much to learn. Read my sig!

Because it was dead on arrail....they were working on a bill that could actually pass....why waste time chasing waterfalls?

    60 votes gets debate to end....like I said....51 gets it passed.....keep up

Name me the 60 people that would get the 3 trillion dollar Nancy P passed....got for it....actually just name 51

The fact of the matter is that before Covid hit the democrats literally had NOTHING to use as opposition to Trump - except that they hated Trump - oh and maybe they thought they would recycle the Russia hoax for round eleventy-fifth. They are milking the Covid crisis for all its worth - literally creating economic problems in the process - and then promising the fix the problems they created. Its complete lunacy.

To prove that it was "dead on arrival". Democrats took the time to write it and pass it. All McConnell has to do is bring it up for vote

That is what "cloture" means. I wasn't aware you didn't know what the word meant. But now you know. And it's why I asked why he wouldn't even bring it up for a vote for cloture?

    Read my post!

House dems, not the Senate. He couldn't bring it to a vote because there wasn't enough votes to bring it to the floor...there wasn't 60

Because he didn't have 60 votes....I am still waiting on that list of Senators that would vote for it you said you could provide.

And I know what cloture means...but since you highlighted you didn't even know what the Hastert Rule was I wanted to speak in a more elementary manner for you.

He doesn't need 60 votes to bring it up for cloture. He doesn't know if there are 60 votes or not unless he brings up cloture.

I believe I have explained cloture to the best of my pedagogic abilities. If you ever want to know what it means, you will need to look it up on your own.

Nope...there aren't 60 votes....there are only 100 Senators, and there are 53 nays to the House Bill.

It's disappointing, but not surprising, that you believe McTreason's fatuous narrative.
