Are you saying that Republicans Senators are just rubber stamp partisan hacks who would never analyze the worthiness of a bill, but just blindly vote along partisan lines no matter what?

    Shocking!

No I am saying they opposed Nancy P's unserious Pork Bill that had nothing to do with the Chinese Virus I never said they never analyzed the worthiness of the bill...quite the opposite....they did....

The bill wasn't worth a vote, and frankly a waste of time...

This is an easy question with an easy answer. Because they want the populace to suffer until after the election, so they can continue blaming the suffering on Trump.

It has been their strategy thus far. They have to do something to distract from thier awful policies like free healthcare for illegal aliens and defunding the police.

How does one compromise when the Senate never passed a proposal. A compromise indicates meeting in the middle> Democrats said 3 trillion McConnell offered to do 1 Trillion, the Democrats came back with 2 trillion (called a compromise) the senate said no and continued to avoid passing even their own proposal.

It's harder to pass things in the Senate because of the filibuster....the Dems have, just this week blocked another bill.

The Dems came back with 2 trillion but didn't remove any of the pork and they included in their bill...they wanted the same bill with just less money...that's not a compromise. They then went on recess...so Nancy could violate California Orders and get her hair done.

Didn't the Dems compromise, then? What you want is everybody just pass what the GOP wants. That's not how it works. The GOP needs to have some flexibility. the GOP and Dem members of the Problem Solvers' Caucus show that it is possible to reach middle ground.

The Senate GOP just wants to stay the party of "no", while blaming the Dems for it.

No...they cut the price tag on their bill that had nothing to do with Chinse Virus relief...but they didn't compromise on any of the items in the bill...and they fled town to avoid doing so.

No, I want them to pass what they at least all agree on right now..that's what the GOP proposed. but the Dems blocked it.

Nancy P and the Dems also if you recall delayed and blocked the first stimulus for some time....they are only in this to harm the American people, thinking it will hurt Trump

There is a reason, some Dems are finally growing a pair and telling Nancy P and the party to f off...https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/15/nancy-pelosi-house-coronavirus-deal-415112

Although, why was there a senate vote on the 'Green New Deal' which was also dead on arrival?

    How do you know?

My understanding of the EO is that it merely 'steered' things in a certain direction. Unlike Obama, Trump doesn't believe that he can unconstitutionally pass laws via EO.

Splits it down the middle. Half make more, half make less. What could be more fair than that?

It's so Republican it's named after one of their favorite perverts.

t’s called the Hastert Rule, an unwritten Republican leadership principle named after former Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert. (Yes, the same Dennis Hastert who went to prison for a bank fraud conviction related to him molesting young boys.) And it has dictated how the immigration debate has lived and died in Congress over the past decade.

The House passed a bill in May. Mostly with Dem support.

Does this now mean you won't vote for a Dem from your overseas country?

You tried to give equal weight to Democrats for the Hastert rule. It was a Republican invention.

Why do we need stimulus at this point in time? Seems like more political bribery than anything else.

Well about 17 million people have been out of work and there supplemental unemployment has run out. Probably 70% of these people will not be able to pay their rent or house payments. This not only creates a little homeless problem, but will also make many of their landlords lose their rental properties to foreclosure which then impacts banks.
The other pretty significant one is that states need to balance their budgets, by law, and people have not been spending money. This of course screws up tax receipts creating a budget shortfall. To correct for that problem states will need to cut services like police, fire and teaching which will only make the problem worse.
The closed businesses have added to these problems and without help will not be able to open again. It's the old trickle up economy. :)

I was under the impression that it was something to do with some sort of a virus or something. I'm not sure.

Which if passed - I understand - would have basically made people millionaires without them having to work.

    Not sure what you're asking.
