Fir over 50 years mail in or absentee ballots have been a small proportion of the vote. This wholesale effort is simply going to overwhelm the systems of the various States.

Has a DP president ever confirmed an anti-authoritarian justice to the court?

    That clearly is the plan.
The DP found ways to rig their own primary elections and nomination process.
Why wouldn't the DP party bosses try to rig all elections?

Everything Trump did saved at least a million American lives. The entire process was a brilliant example on how to fight a pandemic. Especially when contrasted with the botched job Democrats in Liberal cities did.

Speaking of which, what about Governor Cuomo killing more New Yorkers than al Qaeda? Are you proud of that? Is that something Americans should consider when deciding whether to elect a Democrat? If Dems don't care about senior citizens, how much can they care about anybody who's not a Leftist billionaire?

    Thanks for the kind words.

I can attest to the fact good hearted Republicans do exist even though I’m not a Republican. I’m not a member of the Democratic Party either but personally know many Democrats who are kind, compassionate people as well.

I see this coming fight over the SC as possibly our last chance as a country to reject the division marketed to us that has led to dehumanization of those we disagree with politically.

When I got the notification from Apple News last evening that RBG had died I opened up the article and was saddened that it started justifying division and used words connotative of “might makes right”. It should be clear to any critical thinker at this point we are being played against each other intentionally by politicians and the media. It’s a very dangerous path we are on.

It really doesn’t matter at this point if one believes our empathy is a product of natural selection or a creative power. The fact empathy for those we don’t agree with politically is being intentionally destroyed in our society should terrify everyone. We have enough examples throughout history to show once this tactic is employed it seldom ceases or reverses. It typically results in an avalanche of disregard for the value of human life culminating in violent atrocities.

We have today a segment of society ready and willing to use violence and threat of violence to achieve political ends. There is another segment that sees civil war as a noble and glorious pursuit. Both are being divested of their compassionate, emotional, and even cognitive empathy by entities wishing to use them as pawns in a game.

I really feel this point in our country’s history is a watershed moment where we either choose tolerance and empathy as core values or fall to the baser qualities of animal nature where what we want personally and tribally is valued above the life and comfort of others.

As a generic plea, I encourage everyone to make that decision on empathy personally without the influence of media or politicians. Let’s all debate the issues and step back from the abyss of dehumanizing our political counterparts.

Sorry @Quantum Nerd for the long “rant” in reply to your fine post. Needed to get it off my chest. :)

nonsense-the right likes the country as it has been-its the left who hates the present incarnation and wants to turn it into a Eurosocialist collectivist state.

OK, I'll bite: What parties are you describing here (please provide sources too)? Your high sounding words also sound empty without examples to go with them.

Are Republicans following the law? Yes. Are Democrats whining? Yes.

Is America laughing at the short-sighted Democrat idiots who just keep cutting their own throats? Oh my, yes!

I think it was Sun Tzu who said "Snatch victory when it is offered and never ever spike the ball!" If RBG had resigned when Obama was president, Democrats wouldn't be squealing like stuck pigs right now. But no, she wanted to spike the ball and now it's all come crashing down on the Left.

Bad decisions from a Supreme judge. That's irony of a sort.

Oh, so you're just gassing without factual basis other than anecdotal examples that you didn't even provide.

No. That's a crock of ****. If blacks commit more crimes, that's their fault. It's not the law's fault.

The ego of Supreme Court Justices cannot be denied however.

it would have been smart of Justice Thomas to have retired last year so Trump could have picked his successor, instead, if Biden wins, then President Harris will probably end up appointing Thomas's successor.

Not sure what your facts are here. Thomas has been healthy as justice, so his recent illness isn't the alarm siren that RBG was hearing. He may decide to resign if his health is failing, but otherwise, 71 isn't that old for an SCJ.

I never said the GOP was acting illegally, just unethically and with no shame in their blatant hypocrisy.
