Surprised he hasnt called them that with how he loves to project..

The problem with him calling them thugs is how he lumps the peacefull protesters with the looters and vandals so when he is calling them thugs yes it is everyone demostrating and the word thug usually is being used as a slur anyways.

As far as dhs well is he in charge or is it that the only time a president is responsible is when they have a d next to their name? He clearly sent them right? Well sending them had the unfortunate situation of them nabbing innocent black ppl so yes it is his fault whether he told them thst or not.
Now onto blm yes they are but they are predominately black ppl looking to fight off systematic racism in the system. Whether you believe what they say or not so going after blm is going after what thry believe and you expect them or think they like or respect him for that??

Not echoing anything, just pointing out the truth of it.

    We talking Obama or Trump?

Because I'm pretty sure both used the same terminology.

Glad they caught the would-be assassin. It'll be interesting if it turns out she's a Canadian national.

Have you considered the possibility that the opposite is true? That you hate Trump so much that you will defend the press no matter how many times THEY lie?

I mean, remember the Koi Fish Incident? How the press framed it to make Trump look foolish - something he needs no help in doing - and when they got caught, admitted nothing and were quite proud of what they did?

I take much of what Trump says with a grain of salt but the press? They have no standards - hey, I admit it: I trust them LESS than Trump and they've had far, FAR more years than Trump proving me right

Parsing your post is gonna be - interesting, that's for sure. But let's start with "critical thinking". I said -

See, this is why I would never be a Leftist: They revel in Binary Thinking. Even when I say that Trump needs no help looking like a fool AND even when I say that I take MUCH of what he says with a grain of salt - things I hardly think would come from a Trump supporter, if I say there's things worse than Trump out there than to the average LW-er it means I take everything he says as if it's gospel. Logic only someone on the left would think makes sense. You read my words, quoted them, saw them - and ignored them. May I suggest that you improve your "fact-checking" abilities?

Then again you are a newbie here so you've missed the many posts I've made where I've said often enough that my support of Trump began and ended with his not being Hillary, much less the posts where I said the press has betrayed their profession YEARS before Trump became da prez. On the other hand, how you can miss my feelings on Trump when it's embedded in the very post of mine that you quote - well yeah, that says quite a bit about your own skills.

My saying I trust the press less than Trump =/= I trust Trump, it's just that relatively speaking, I'll get more truth from Trump than the Legacy Media. It's that whole nuance thing. But - you do you.

Ya that was some bad typing on that one lol did not have time when i wrote that to look it over like i usually do.

Basically i dont really have to rely on what you call fake news to know he is a compulsive liar. He says something one day then completely the opposite a not long after that.
For instance how many times has he said he doesnt know soneone then when more proof comes out he says maybe met the person once or twice. Then with a couple like stormy for instance it was ya so what.
His story changes and he lies compulsively and for some strange reason ppl eat it up and thinks he is sime kind of god or something

Glad they were caught, but pretending that this person represents every "peaceful, non violent, tolerant and inclusive people" is no different than desperately claiming that Cesar Sayoc represents all Trump supporters. Desperate, at best. Intellectually dishonest, at least.

What is wrong with Trump's tone? He is the one who thinks we ought to be a country. It is the left that wants to destroy the country through open borders, the 1619 project and abolishing the police. That seems to be a more destructive tone than anything Trump has said.

Aside from a tiny handful of extremists, this makes no sense. The Dem party doesn't think we shouldn't be a country, they aren't pushing for open borders, and they don't want to abolish the police. Meanwhile, there's a lot of anti-Constitutional **** in Trump's tone. He isn't able to follow through with it, for the most part, but it is still part of his dialogue. Yes, that's destructive.

I think it is more than a tiny handful of exremists and they are poised to take over the Democratic party.

What has Trump said that is anti-constitutional?

I think the extremists on both sides are a tiny handful, and neither should be used to characterize the entire party. I'm not sure even where to start with Trump, though. He's celebrated violence against journalists, he's repeatedly attacked the first amendment in the courts (even before becoming president), he has no respect for the tax or spending clauses of the Constitution, he's called the emoluments clauses of the Constitution a joke, he's pushed for using the military as domestic law enforcement, he's told people he would pardon them if they broke the law to support his policies on the border, he's ignored laws on refugee status, he's suggested that law enforcement should kill people in "retribution," he's praised murderous autocrats, and he's repeatedly shown that he thinks Article II is a blank check for him to do whatever he wants. I honestly can't think of a more anti-Constitutional candidate in modern history, unless we start getting to some really weird third party examples.
