    Easily reasoned

President Obama was a Popular personality which as a President had his exposure spread

His speaking engagements, entertainment deals and book sales have been phenomenal

Quite a contrast to Trump which as his exposure has risen ............

his business has dropped in value with many Leaving the Trump brand

    Got it.

So Barrack and Michelle can make a **** ton of money, mostly due to their elected offices and its all a-ok.

But if Trump makes money, its because of corruption.

Look. If Trump didn't make money, its because he is a failure. If he does make money, its because he is corrupt. This is how the left has framed "discussions" for going on 4 years. Fact is, most on this forun that oppose trump have established their positions so that there is no discussion. No debate. It is impossible to have a logical and constructive discussion when this is the position.

But we all know that most on this forum are here sticking their fingers in their ears shouting their opinions. Nothing more nothing less.

I've said it before. When the left establishes the rules of the game that makes it impossible to win, there is no point in playing. No point in discussing. Only one outcome exists.

But... its Trump and republicans being divisive. You cant actually believe that?

The radicalized left is absolute nothing more than filled with hatred and blinded by partisanship. No doubts.

But those peaceful protestors burning down cities, those people creating imaginary conspiracies with the russians aren't doing anything wrong.
That why they have credibility, right?

Tell us why this "corruption" hasn't resulted in criminal charges. I suppose if a dem member of congress can incite riots and such without condemnation, there must be a way to avoid them. At least for the left, it's happening all over.

Wiser not to embarrass yourself by going there.

Trump pathologically lies and they swear...for someone who would shoot them and their granny on 5th Avenue and then whine that he had to step over them to cross the street. Imagine...putting your life on the line for a grifter who cheats at golf and sets up a scam university to rip folks like them off. But as long as Trump is a birther racist and tickles the funny bones of Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists, all is well.

How can you not be embarrassed for defending someone who would rip you and yours off in a heartbeat? It's actually sad and funny at the time. Or maybe people who defend this grifter are just too ashamed to admit that they know he's a sociopathic fraud and a racketeer but they like him anyway and not despite those things but rather because of them.

There are women who proposed to Charles Manson while he was on prison, so I suppose its not a stretch to see how some folks are attracted to Sweet Potato Hitler because of his selfishness, sadism, cruelty and disregard for others.

Insults are the worlds cheapest and most universal weapon. However, when challenged to come up with any example of how this president has done any such thing in the performance of his job..,. You got nothing, other than not making you happy. Plenty of fabricated crap (we've seen a solid stream of it for 5 years) but nothing that actually has substance. It's amazing that more people on the left aren't demanding that others either put up or shut up, and get back to the real job- because what they have been doing is petty, childish and downright despicable.

We don't hire presidents to make you happy, we hire them to manage and administrate the nations business. Perhaps we should hire an assistant whose only job is to go around feeling sorry for the people who Trump isn't making them happy, and who do not have sense enough to know that isn't the primary purpose of his job.

You see it as “insults” “because of TDS/hate Trump etc whereas the rest of us are seeing a deeply flawed man not worthy of the position he holds

It's not considered an "insult" when its true and factual. Again.. I've long noticed that the right has problems with nuance and differentiating between certain words and phrases and how they apply to subjects at hand. A lack of self awareness can also account for skewed perceptions. This is why very often I just avoid responding to particular posters if I see a trend.

    Actually, $10.8 million:

$7.5 million (69%) was royalties from books written before he was president ($3 million donated to children of wounded/fallen veterans)
    $3.1 million = 8 years' presidential salary
$0.12 million = interest and dividends
    $0.08 million = unspecified
    -------
    $10.8 million
    -------

Obama was worth nothing special considering he and his wife were lawyers. After his 8 years, he is a millionaire several all times over.

Nice try there kiddo. But considering you’re a newly registered “bot” who will disappear, just like in 2016, the minute the election is over, should we expect anything else? :)

Obama also is a public speaker, like most ex presidents are. Add that to the salary, that helps what he is worth now.

Yes, he has a rich daddy, that's always a good starting point. But he managed to make more money from daddy Trump's money.

We won't help Donald with his tax evasion by saying he's poor as hell, lol :D

Which is why they deny everything accomplished, attack everything in sight, construct these endless BS conspiracies, tell followers to run those with opposing views out of restaurants or anywhere else they find them, attacking others with cancel culture, give support to the peaceful rioters and basically insult anything republican. All because they don't like Trump's personality; and of course- because they are such good Americans. The nations honorable people are deeply ashamed of what our democrats have become. Somebody needs to; they certainly have lost the ability to look at themselves.

If you can't reach even a base level of integrity when you aren't getting your way- you don't really have the capacity to cast an honest vote.

Quite a succinct list that could easily otherwise take a page or two to itemize.

Suggestion: it would keep thins clearer if you would capitalize Democrats.

    I can venture 2 reasons:

    1. Any would be prosecutor doesn't want to risk a civil war (while Trump's President)
    2. He's very good at manipulating others to do his dirty work - then throwing them under a bus when they get caught.

    Interesting take.

I'm not sure if by 'we' you mean all the American people or Trump supporters but I would suggest the President of the United States involves being far more than a canny businessman. He also needs to be the moral guide - not only for his people but (traditionally) for all democratic societies current and emerging. I would also suggest that he needs to be a custodian of environment, education, health, happiness and unity of his people.

You are not above lecturing morality in our discussions here yet somehow when it comes to the President of the United States you give a pass - a position where the highest standards of refinement and behaviour should be expected.
