now that the taxes are out, he could be in trouble as more information may come out that the IRS was not aware of

he would never be put in jail as he was President, but he could have to pay back due taxes and be fined

hiding them from the people.... the IRS does not know what he does in private unless they learn about it from other means, that is what brought down the mob

Trump claims to be a billionaire, but pays no taxes - either he is lying or not paying taxes he should - Sad!

He can't continue with his business ventures unabated that is a conflict of interest. Don't you mean so his sons can continue business ventures unabated?

Yes and no. He knew going in that the MOST he could serve is two 4-year terms. At some point, he would return to civilian life and, presumably, continue running his businesses. Either way, it would look "bad" for him to be not as financially solid as he has lead others to believe.

I have learned two things from this thread.
    1. President Trump is a hell of a lot smarter Thai I thought he was.
    2. After dozens of attempts at ousting him, lefties can still get excited over nothing.

EXACTLY the fact that he paid NOTHING in taxes for many years pisses me off royally, as it would anyone with a grain of sense.

Why do we spend so much time on one person's income tax when they are square with the IRS? Maybe we are jealous or maybe we are nosey or maybe we are just Trump haters. Being a Trump hater is bad for your health. We should just concern ourselves with our own tax return. Of all the politicians who have released their tax return I can't remember anything about any of them -- except that Clinton was donating his used underwear to charity, such as the Salvation Army or Goodwill, and taking a tax deduction for it.

The left fails to admit Trump was audited every year in question and the final tally is in the eyes of the IRS completely legal. This was also BEFORE he ran for President.

Golly! Reported by whom? And did they count the number of times she looked better than Jackie Kennedy...on any day we name?

    "Reported."
    "Alleged."
    Rubbish.

Yeah, that one has a certain...cachet to it. Why hide when you can legitimately deduct without any special political treatment? Billionaires don't hire H&R Blockenspeil to do the tax return. It's a whole higher level.

Why? If he didn't make any money why should he pay income on non existent profits? Or pay income tax he is not legally obligated to pay.

"Mr. Trump’s U.S. payment, after factoring in his losses, was roughly equivalent, in dollars not adjusted for inflation, to another presidential tax bill revealed nearly a half-century before. In 1973, The Providence Journal reported that, after a charitable deduction for donating his presidential papers, Richard M. Nixon had paid $792.81 in 1970 on income of about $200,000.

The leak of Mr. Nixon’s small tax payment caused a precedent-setting uproar: Henceforth, presidents, and presidential candidates, would make their tax returns available for the American people to see."

    Henceforth...........until President Flim Flam.

Does it surprise you to learn the guy who claimed he could finance his own campaign and presented himself as a successful businessman is a fraud?

I know . . . I would write something pithy about general intelligence and the obvious lack of same among people posting of a particular political leaning . . . but since I don't want to receive a warning for telling the absolute and absolutely obvious truth . . . I shan't. But I WILL . . . think it.

 General Electric, Boeing, Priceline.com, Verizon and 22 other profitable Fortune 500 firms paid no federal income taxes from 2008 through 2012, according to Citizens for Tax Justice.

It doesn't surprise me at least that libs are facing certain defeat in November and are now mounting the sorriest campaign of nitpicking that I have seen since the Dems threw Eagleton to the wolves over his leaked psychiatric report.

Charming people, those Dems. Thoughtful caring and kind, particularly to successful women who manage large families and stellar legal careers. Especially kind to women unless they're Catholic, or fertile. Yes, kind to a fault for that.

I couldn't help noticing you found it too difficult to answer the question.......Does it surprise you to learn the guy who claimed he could finance his own campaign and presented himself as a successful businessman is a fraud?

    Care to try again?
