Impeccable timing from the NYT releasing gotcha info AGAIN, but for only one “side”. It’s almost like a news organization is working for the DNC and dishonestly trying to affect an election. :)

Tell that to his hairdresser who received $70k to do his hair! Cha-ching and good for her. I bet she didn't pay taxes on that 70k either, if she was smart. She could put $60k into upgrades and a remodel of her salon, or invest it as seed money to open a second location, and write it off, legally. Money not going into the dark hole of the IRS tends to go into the economy and lift GDP.

The Trump empire is worthless now because of the exposure of expiring debt and his 15-year loser streak.

Which entity is going to lend to Trump if Biden wins POTUS election.

Trump's net worth will drop to zero or negative if he loses the election.

~ Trump is in good company ... :aww:

 General Electric, Boeing, Priceline.com, Verizon and 22 other profitable Fortune 500 firms paid no federal income taxes from 2008 through 2012, according to Citizens for Tax Justice.
    ❓ Ya think ... :confuse:'

We will have to wait to see what happens when Trump leaves office to know whether that won’t change.

You assumed incorrectly. Most people pay their taxes not truly realizing all the value that comes from it. It's obviously not as valuable as it used to be with the wastage, but as long as everybody pays something close to their fair share, few give it a second thought.

Frankly, it's not the tax avoidance that bothers me as much as this part of the story does (and always has)

    • The president's businesses have brought in lots of money from overseas, detailed precisely for the first time in this report, according to the Times. In his first two years in the White House, Trump earned $73 million from overseas, mostly from his golf courses in the British Isles. He also earned millions from the Philippines, India and Turkey.

I sympathize with your state of despondency over the Trump administration as Trump is exposed as a loser and a tax cheat.

Joe Biden released his tax returns in July as he promised and didn't have to be exposed by the media because they didn't find Trump-like cheating or Trump-like scale of mega cheating.

The election will bring you relief when Trump is run outta town. You will no longer be tormented by the prospect of daily exposures of Donald Trump's cheating, lies, and fornication.

Problem is that we now have a sitting President who owes hundreds of millions of dollars to foreign banks and lien holders, money that he might not be able to repay ... if Trump was applying to work for the FBI with financials like that he wouldn’t be able to pass the background check. He’s a security risk.

The Dems famously and admittedly lied about Mitt Romney's taxes too in a desperate attempt to get him to release more of his taxes....it was a mistake for Mitt.....

Looks like the Dems are back to their old dirty tricks.

There should be a full scale FBI probe into the the NY Times on where they got these alleged documents.

Trump wouldn't get hired by Amazon with financials like this... and I'm talking fulfillment center, not executive management...

As if a private company would even look at his resume...

~ We know nothing about Trump's financial obligations - neither does CNN , NBC or ABC. Everything is speculation and hearsay.
Peter Strzok , James Comey and Andy McCabe all worked for the FBI. Look at their background . Our government is made up of mostly charlatans, liars and lazy dopes who got lucky. Compared to them Trump is a breath of fresh air.

    Actually, it does!
A few years ago, I remember some publication did come up with a real leaked tax return. Trump didn’t deny it - he release it in full for everyone to see.
With this one, Trump just says point blank that this article is a lie and I have solid basis to believe him based on known history of his behavior in leaked tax returns.
So, without Trump or IRS confirmation, this article is just another example of lies being spread by “credible news” agencies.
Fake news. Or, my preferred term - nothingburger.

Tax write-offs are perfectly legitimate. The government used to have no problem with it because investors(Not Trump specifically) would put money back into the economy.

But Elizabeth Warren and crew spend way more money than they get in taxes. So as bad as Trump's finances are, our country bank balance is way worse

It's not about the "rich paying their fair share", that's the DNC advertisement. The truth really is: "We're trying to squeeze a little more lemon out of the dried lemon. PS. The middle class will also get hit but don't tell them that."

Democrats will get onto that after the FBI investigation into fat Billy Barr's corruption and the investigation into Donald Trump's tax cheating and Trump's lies about indebtedness to foreigners.

Meanwhile, rush your evidence to fat Billy Barr.

When I see socialists talking about business expenses as if they were treated as personal expenses, I only roll my eyes and move on.

According to the NY Times, these taxes were paid and filed during the Obama and Biden admin...why didn't you then?

    What corruption of Barr?

Sort of a tit-for-tat situation ... The RNC releases a Hunter Biden story a week before the debates and the DNC releases a Trump Tax story a couple of days later ... welcome to today's sad state of affairs.

    Thank you for your answer.
I think hidden away is something about the fear some Americans have regarding paying tax, and that is wastage.
Isn't there an argument that says that one person's worthwhile spend is another persons wastage? That you will never satisfy everybody regarding where the tax revenue goes.
A stark example is nuclear weapons where some would say they are a waste of money and others would say they are a necessity?
When you say that some Americans don't realise the value that comes from the taxes they pay, it explains the sneering attitude of some Americans towards the National Health Service in the UK which they call communism.

Trump also claimed that publication was fake and he did not release the full tax return, four pages were released by the "publication" and Trump then had to back-track to explain that the reason he paid no tax was because of a massive loss carried forward

Is there a receipt for that $70K. You cannot claim expenses without a receipt. Would be interesting to follow that money trail (back to his daughter or wife?)
