    But but but NOOOOOO!

See this isn’t true - Trump is not to blame because it was his company not him! Same as he wasn’t to blame for Trump University or the money going missing out of his “charity” or the finance irregularities around his campaign (remember individual one?). They are still investigating where the money went in his inauguration fund

This is a guy considered unfit tipi hold a Casino licence in Sydney

    Thread Title breaks forum rules.

"FinCEN Fines Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort $10 Million for Significant and Long Standing Anti-Money Laundering Violations"

Not fined for money laundering. Fined for failing to meet anti-money laundering compliance practices.

"Trump Taj Mahal received many warnings about its deficiencies," said FinCEN Director Jennifer Shasky Calvery. "Like all casinos in this country, Trump Taj Mahal has a duty to help protect our financial system from being exploited by criminals, terrorists, and other bad actors. Far from meeting these expectations, poor compliance practices, over many years, left the casino and our financial system unacceptably exposed."

Also not a current event, this happened 2015.

Before the OP has another wet dream,
"Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. was a gambling and hospitality company that currently does not own or operate any properties. The company previously owned and operated the now-renamed Trump Taj Mahal, the now-shuttered Trump Plaza, the demolished Trump World's Fair, the now-renamed Trump Marina, and the now-renamed Trump 29. Formerly known as Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, it was founded in 1995 by Donald Trump.[1] The company filed for bankruptcy in 2004, 2009 and 2014. It has been a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises since 2016. Trump Entertainment Resorts currently owns one property, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, which is currently shuttered and vacant."

    Same difference

Just demonstrates how long standing Trumps history of illegal machinations really is - but it dates back decades. Trumps lawyer back then was Roy Cohn - look him up sometime but I suggest you either have an anti-emetic on hand or be prepared to shower afterwards and yes he was that nasty

WASHINGTON, DC – The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) today imposed a $10 million civil money penalty against Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort (Trump Taj Mahal), for willful and repeated violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). In addition to the civil money penalty, the casino is required to conduct periodic external audits to examine its anti-money laundering (AML) BSA compliance program and provide those audit reports to FinCEN and the casino’s Board of Directors.

No they are very different. Let me give you similar example: Hillary Clinton administration storing classified information on unsecured servers (non-compliance) is not the same as turning over classified data to a foreign actor (criminal action).

For your reference, here are the AML compliance requirements for American Casinos:

    https://www.americangaming.org/sites/default/files/Best Practice 2017.pdf

Here is the same violation against Sparks Nugget, Inc. Lacked a Culture of Compliance in Nevada:

I think this illustrates a real problem in America and I am going to make it not about Trump at all. The problem we have here is there was a"willful and repeated violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)". Warnings were given and the organization still failed to comply. So for this violation the organization was fined $10 million dollars and not a single person went to jail. I am not sure how much money flowed through a major Casino like the Taj Mahal but I get the feeling that 10 million is not a big figure to them. Why was the manager of this casino not charge? They must of know about the warning and did nothing about it. At minimum charge the person that you sent the warning too and that replied and agreed to take care of it. We have people in jail for buying weed and prostitution but these white collar criminals are not even charged or identified. This is another example like the subprime mortgage crisis. No one relevant goes to jail for crimes that have huge impacts on society.

Trump sold all his interest in the casino in 2009. They kept his name under a licensing agreement until 2016. Your article is dated 2015. In other words, this is about Carl Icahn, the then owner, not President Trump.

Lol...that's rich. The criminals, terrorists and other bad actors exploiting the financial system is the trump crime family. They're not about to police themselves.
Anyone who has been around knows that trump has been laundering money for the mob and for Russian oligarchs through his casinos and properties in the US and around the world for years.
It's hard to grasp just how corrupt trump is, but the fact is that everything he has touched has turned to ****.

I am proud of my ability to control my state of mind in political discussions. Those who get emotional are the ones quick to drink the poison Kool Aid. I am embarrassed that Trump is an accurate reflection of the average American who lacks the ability/willingness to have a respectful discussion with those of opposing beliefs.

That's why I don't act like him. I don't understand why you emulate him.

am I suprised that the Dems are bringing up a 5 year old story about a Casino that Trump or the Trump Organization was no longer running at the time it was written? FYI it was run by Icahn Enterprises L.P.

    No, you all are desperate

    Second paragraph

Trump Taj Mahal, a casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, admitted to several willful BSA violations, including violations of AML program requirements, reporting obligations, and recordkeeping requirements. Trump Taj Mahal has a long history of prior, repeated BSA violations cited by examiners dating back to 2003. Additionally, in 1998, FinCEN assessed a $477,700 civil money penalty against Trump Taj Mahal for currency transaction reporting violations.

but your article is dated 2015. I was in there the night before they closed it up and it was a pig sty. Then again, not much of Atlantic City is a place I would want to visit again. I was there for the opening of the Borgata but a little to upbeat for me. Prefer Harrah's.
