Are you trying to justify a possible federal crime here? The IRS audits Trump constantly, has he ever been charged with fraud on his tax returns?

 

Do you take all the deductions and credits to which you are entitled on your tax returns? Do you claim your mortgage deductions and game the system? And BTW the poor not only don't pay any income taxes they make money off the tax system.

Who's committing fraud? When poor people don't pay taxes because they don't make a certain amount, that's part of the same system that Trump exploits.

Curious that the Biden campaign already had ads and swag ready to go the minute the NYT article was released. How did they get the heads up, were they made aware of illegal activity, the obtaining and releasing of private tax information, and did they report it to law enforcement? Did the NYT give them a heads up so they could prepare for it, is that legal under campaign law? Is it ethical on the part of the NYT?

There's no potential federal crime. The NYT's source had legal access to the materials' and SCOTUS would uphold (per previous rulings) their right to publish and protect anonymity.

The IRS audit is ongoing, and relates - according to the NYT (take it or leave it) - to specific transactions over an extensive period of time. NY DA Vance is also investigating. That's no proof of crime, but a lack of charges thus far is not proof of innocence.

 

Stop with that BS talking point. The middle class pay more as a share of income than those at the top do. The top pays more as a whole dollar figure because they take more as a whole dollar figure
