The risk of handing something to someone who is going door to door is significantly higher than putting it in the mail. It completely defeats the intended purpose of voting my mail.

Mail carriers are typically trustworthy and vetted by the USPS prior to becoming a carrier. Ballot harvesters are not. They work for a political party, which automatically makes them untrustworthy, regardless of which party.

When it comes to this election, we can not sacrifice our integrity for security against covid. Most people just need to follow the CDC guidelines and vote in person.

The CDC never issued a guideline that says vote in person...

In fact, pretty much the opposite

    SNIP
"Elections with only in-person voting on a single day are higher risk for COVID-19 spread because there will be larger crowds and longer wait times,” the CDC guidance says.
    ENDSNIP

    You funny...

I'd have no problem with that, once you do the following

    1. Effective pre-paid, Priority delivery, Mail In voting procedures in ALL states
    2. New USPS leadership

When you've met those 2 bare minimum requirements, you'll have my support...

    Not what I meant.

Follow guidelines of social distancing and vote in person.

I think you mean follow guidelines of social distancing IF you vote in person.

And we did yesterday. Never voted for anything in September before... And a lot of folks out doing it early in my community..

Also, saw people coming in to drop their 'mail in' ballots into a drop box... I find that interesting, that you wouldn't trust the post office to get your ballot in if mailed in September.

Trump and DeJoy have certainly done their jobs well there...

    18 U.S. Code § 597.Expenditures to influence voting

Read the link. Paying people to vote is illegal.

I have posted in another thread about Tulsi Gabbard's Bill to ban ballot harvesting that postal workers are to be trusted. Ballot harvesters are not.

That name feels like it should mean something to me, but per Google, there won't be a 'Tulsi Gabbard' in either the House or Senate in 2021..

I trust postal workers... I do NOT trust current postal worker management...

She is head and shoulders above the lowly politicians in DC, and I am happy for her that she is going to stay in Hawaii. I don't blame her. That said, I won't be surprised if she shows up in another capacity.

Glen Beck is discussing it here. He usually does a deep dive, sometimes too deep...LOL, but I generally listen to him as part my information gathering in formulating my opinion on various subjects.
