    I believe he did the best he knew how to do but it wasn't enough. Things went way too far way too many times.

    Terrible debate by both participants, an insult to our country. if other countries were watching this display of ignorance and childish nonsense they must be laughing their asses off, that these two are the best the USA has to offer.

    And that's a sign of weakness? You think Biden refusing to answer questions and the only plans he has to ask mayors and other people to have meetings so they can figure out what to was strong and forthcoming? How about Biden resorting to the extreme personal attacks?

    Obama/Biden reorganized GM in a way that screwed the bondholders who had invested in the union to preserve union pensions. My mother-in-law lost of good part of her retirement fund that was invested in GM bonds. Normally bondholders are the first to be paid out in a bankruptcy. Biden claims he is for the little guy but Obama/Biden had Wall Street running their financial show with this guy being their Treasury Secretary. So much for the main street v. Wall Street promises of Obama/Biden.

    I think you misunderstood me. We all already knew, from 2016, that these are Trump's tactics. It's just that neither Biden, nor Maddow et al, were expecting him to be so on his game, because in their insular view, Trump is descending into senility. I don't see how it will be helpful to continue along that line, as Joy Reid assesses that Trump seemed, "out of control." Do you think that's the impression any viewer, not already committed to voting for Biden, received? Let's ask those on this forum. The online betting industry, by the way, had put Biden as a 5-to-2 underdog to be declared the debate's winner by FOX News. Lucky for us, so few voters watch
    them, right?

    When Trump was a rude loudmouthed bore, loudly and bullyingly talking over both of them, Biden gave it back to him in words. I'm so glad that Biden didn't stoop to yelling back at him and given that Trump is physically much stronger would have been stooping to playing a barbaric shouting game I'll befitting a presidential debate. Instead he flicked him off like the loudmouthed rude bore that he was
