Fair enough. I think it's this unusual situation where a Vice-president is running for President that made it stand out oddly. At a private function it wouldn't seem as incongruent perhaps.

233 deaths x 66 = 15,378
69 in hospital x 66 = 4,554

We have 200,000+ dead when we could have had 15,378.

My wife and I chose BC because its relatively safe here. BTW, they shut down some businesses for a time--many were still open--but there never was a stay-at-home order. Schools, restaurants, bars, theaters ... all open. I want the same or better for this country.

Forget about what Cuomo said. How can you claim that trump did a great job when the death rate is so bad?

 

Here's a better question: Democrats wanted to shutdown, they shut it down. They wanted the emergency declaration, they got it. They wanted Trump to crack the whip with the defense authorization act and he did.

How can Democrats blame Trump for doing the things he wanted them to do? Sure, we now know he should've acted much more quickly and had been candid, but even if he were Democrats haven't helped in the fight against the coronavirus.

 

I have just finished watching a replay of the whole thing. I have not read even one post in this Thread. So......

1. What a farce! What a disaster! That was not a debate!!! That was two kindergarten kids arguing over a Tonka toy. Total fiasco. Really Team USA....is that the best you can do?

2. Wallace was pathetic and had zero control, especially over one participant. I reckon there is no point having any further debates unless both participants are put into an interruption room where they can hear what the other guy is saying but cannot say a bloody thing, or be seen even, until their mic is turned on.

3. On substance. Nothing new except on thing stuck out. This:

On getting a vaccine for the nasty ~ Trump said several times, referring to pharma, that 'they can go faster.' So.......ummmmmm........why aren't they?

 

Trump is at fault for putting a cap on the recovery by letting the virus amok. People over 60 won't travel, dine out, or spend a lot of money.



The economy will be in real trouble if we don't get the virus under better control.

 

All of those killings by cops are the result of the ‘94 crime bill. I’m happy that Trump kept hammering points like that home and ignoring Biden’s cheerleader Wallace.

I assume that you meant Wallace's questions? Nobody else mentioned this so I'd be interested if you can clarify. ( I thought they were bread and butter questions myself).

Because President Trump can’t make the private sector “go faster”, to which Trump was actually alluding to. Now you can explain to us how the private sector Big Pharma not “going faster” is all the fault of President Trump.
