Officials said the California secretary of state’s office has received several reports in recent days of possibly illegal drop boxes for ballots in three counties.

“Operating unofficial ballot drop boxes — especially those misrepresented as official drop boxes — is not just misleading to voters, it’s a violation of state law,” Padilla said in a statement.

Freedom’s Way Baptist Church in Castaic, for example, posted on social media that a metal box out front was “approved and brought by the GOP.” Church officials said they did not have access to the ballots, adding that local Republican officials were responsible for collecting them.

Yeah, I figured it would come to this.. As a Slate writer said when he read this story (in another URL) - "Apparently, they're trying to prove voter fraud is real by committing actual election fraud"

OTOH, anybody dumb enough to put their ballot in a ballot box marked “Official ballot drop off box.” like below deserves to have their vote end up in a landfill (unless it's marked Trump, of course)....

When you permit ballot harvesting, ballot harvesting is what you’re going to get. Not sure why y’all have a problem with it now. You sure as hell didn’t have a problem with it when dems were doing it.

How is that ANY different than the dems holding a “get out the vote” rally where people can leave their marked ballots in a sealed envelope with the democrat party members who will turn them in on their behalf?

The Democrats have Gerrymandered the state into oblivion. Democrats vote harvest, so how different is this? Also, Democrats have sent Mail In Ballots to Millions who never wanted or requested them.

All the article said was some church group said it belonged to the GOP. 2nd article you posted said they were in the political offices, ok that one makes sense. But the the others do not. And in light of evidence that says put here by GOP or CA Reb. Party etc etc, it nothing. You're trying to link something that the evidence isn't there yet. Just because A, is or has happened, doesn't mean that B is connected to A. Or vice versa. Its The Correlation/Causation Fallacy. IF the GOP is doing, I'm not saying they're or not, its wrong. One of many issues that come with forcing mail in ballots. Garbage cans can be turned into "official ballot drop boxes" with little effort. Concentrating ballots in a single container is a bad idea.

Until this thread, I never considered that the "Official ballot drop box" could be a dumpster. Concentrating ballots in a single container clearly marked "Ballot drop Box" makes it an easy target for extremists on both sides. One may assume what/who people are voting for based on the district the box was placed. The one down the block is located in front of a public park/trail head.

I don't need to read up as I would never use one.

Weak sauce

1. Arrest the head of the Ca GOP
2. Get him to produce a list of all illegal ballot boxes in the state. I don't care how.
3. With a (different) R and D representative going with you, go to each of those boxes to securely retrieve any ballots in there, to be transferred to that county's election office
4. Remove all the boxes
5. Indict for Election Fraud

Take maybe 2-3 days... Stop playing like these people are acting normally...
