I see the 'establishment' aka Dr. Fauci, as making another stab at partisan warfare here... America, have your Thanksgiving & be thankful that we have a POTUS that is standing up for individual liberties & freedom of choice... If you are "at risk" & in a susceptible health / age category ~ exercise discrimination 'thinking hat on' - in taking precautions...

    Suggestions:
Increase your daily dosages of Vitamins C and D3.
Take daily dosages of Sambucus (Elderberry) liquid supplement.
Spray all common areas where people will be present frequently with Lysol or a good disinfectant. Lysol is very hard to find, so you may want to substitute with a similar, very effective generic spray with excellent ingredients, sold a Walmart grocery stores.

Buy a decent contact thermometer and take everyone's temperature BEFORE allowing them in a room where everyone is gathering. Do not (NOT) permit entry by anyone 'running a temperature' -- PERIOD.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving... and don't go running off to 'the stores' full of crowds afterward, no matter how good the discounts may be....

Given his age, maybe mr Fauci should simply stay home, and protect himself. It does seem to be his prescription for everyone else...

......... orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr just stop fear mongering over a virus that typically presents itself as a mild flu and go on with your life as normal.

He presented some good suggestions on what you can do to protect not just yourself, but anybody else who will be around you, and everyone who will be around the others who also come in your home, during and afterwards.

Life doesn't have to be cancelled. If EVERYONE follows smart steps, then the numbers will drop.

Pretending it's nothing to be concerned about is just fantasy though. You might as well be telling us that we don't have to wear masks because Gandalf said so.

Oh my Thanksgiving has been fairly low key with the same people for a few years now. Just us, a sister, and a few cousins. Different people might zoom by for a few minutes at a time over the course of the day but when it comes to sitting down eating, it is cozy.

I'm expecting 15 at my place. Been itching to try the air fryer again, last year my oven Turkey was perfect but 2nd bird was a bit undercooked so I'm hoping to nail it this time.

Thank you. All I'm trying to do is help people with suggestions to fight disease with things I've actually used all my adult life.

I'm also a big believer in herbal extracts to fight flu-like diseases, like Echinacea, Goldenseal, Kyolic liquid garlic, and a singularly effective, little-known one called "Osha". Osha tastes just horrible -- but it is death to all cold viruses. Link: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/osha-root

It tastes like a combination of celery juice and battery acid, but it is a real 'doomsday' weapon for bad colds and anything that involves a person's respiratory system. All the best!

The CDC has admitted that masks do not stop viruses, but they make a lot of sense for anyone living in a surveillance state.

The masks can't stop penetration by the virus itself because the virus is WAY too tiny to be trapped by the mask's fibers, no matter how many layers of them there are. Think: there's a reason why people who work around viruses professionally wear those "space suits" all the time....

BUT, the mask can trap DROPLETS which contain the viruses themselves. So, somebody sneezes twenty feet away, and, they've determined the viruses can just float along in the ambient air for hours. But, if you have a mask on, there's a good chance the droplet, which is far larger than the virus it contains, will be trapped in the mask. At least that's the theory.

So, how do you keep the virus out of your eyes? I'm lucky... I wear glasses. Again, it's not perfect at all, but I'd rather wipe viruses off the exteriors of my glasses lenses than have them land on my eyeballs.

Yes, promoting the use of masks without goggles is a very obvious sham.

There have been many controlled clinical trials measuring the effectiveness of masks and other procedures to prevent the spread of viruses from 1946 - 2018. They all showed that masks do not reduce the spread. I challenged a mask fan to find one contrary study published before the China Virus Pandemic.
So far no one has posted a link to such a study.

    “Abstract

There were 3 influenza pandemics in the 20th century, and there has been 1 so far in the 21st century. Local, national, and international health authorities regularly update their plans for mitigating the next influenza pandemic in light of the latest available evidence on the effectiveness of various control measures in reducing transmission. Here, we review the evidence base on the effectiveness of nonpharmaceutical personal protective measures and environmental hygiene measures in nonhealthcare settings and discuss their potential inclusion in pandemic plans. Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza. We similarly found limited evidence on the effectiveness of improved hygiene and environmental cleaning. We identified several major knowledge gaps requiring further research, most fundamentally an improved characterization of the modes of person-to-person transmission.”

My dentist (whom I've gone to for decades) told me recently that he's neutral about masks but that the vinyl or nitrile gloves are a big mistake because they spread germs and filth.

I mostly just stay at home, where I enjoy being most anyway. I can't tell you the last time I went to a movie theater or a restaurant, either, for instance -- because I didn't want to. Home is the best place to be... no doubt about it.

I go out frequently to support small family owned businesses, and wear the mask to give the surveillance cams challenge. Adding a hoody for the Fall. ;-)

He didn't offer protection of any sort. What he offered was a few ways to boost one's immune system, such as good hygiene measures as well as good supplements to be taking. I agree with him there. I disagree once the fear mongering and forced mask wearing starts, though...

See, you wish to force everyone to comply tyrannically, rather than convince everyone to comply freely. That is the way of the CCP, not of the USA. That is the way of Satan, not of Jesus.

For the vast majority of people, it is nothing to be concerned about (beyond basic hygiene and staying home and taking care of oneself when sick, as we've done for any other illness in the past).

We shouldn't have to wear masks because we should have the freedom to make our own healthcare decisions. We are the USA, not the CCP.

Do what you feel is right to "protect grandma", but as for me and my grandma, keep your tyranny the hell away from us.

It's hardly uncommon for laws that protect people to require you to take specific actions and penalize you if they don't. Try driving on the other side of the road and see how long you go before you get a ticket and lose your license.

You're not making a health care decision for yourself though, because the mask is not to protect you. Instead, you're turning yourself into a health care risk.

And again, laws that require you to take specific actions in the interest of protecting people did not suddenly appear in the spring of 2020. Your comparison is sensationalism.

Lock downs just insure a susceptible population.

Notice how about a week after liberation,
    the lock down repeats.

    Liberation puts a locked down
susceptible population out there to create numbers
    of new incidences.

You have an unfettered right to put your life at risk; just remember if you end up on a table with a ventilator tube down your throat, try to remember how pleasurable that turkey dinner, garnishments along with the guests were and hope that if you should survive that you don't have too many lifelong medical afflictions.
