It may be a taboo subject for many, that there is a far-right tendency that exists within the UK Conservative Party and this isn't a new phenomenon.

Of course we've all heard that there are socialists and Marxists within the UK Labour Party, but we don't often hear quite as much about extremism with the UK Conservative Party. This is probably due to a conservative bias within the British media.

I quote from the Wikipedia page: Far-right politics in the United Kingdom

A bit more could be said about the Conservative Monday Club. Here are some quotes from the Wiki page:

IDK. There seemed to have been a lot of pearl clutching about evil conservatives when they voted down providing free meals to poor students during holidays. The Conservatives are really a motley crew, but Tony Blair so tainted Labour's fortunes that it may still be a generation before they can ever get their hands on the PM spot.

Politics in the UK is very "Classist". The Conservatives won't enact any policy that the Labour Party could have implemented, and that includes caring for the poorer person.

On the contrary, Tony Blair made the Labour Party, or at least New Labour. He did this by swinging the party to the right, leaving behind the trade union block vote and the 'socialist-like' commitment to nationalisation.

Conservatives provided the free lunches this summer. They just elected not to extend the program into the holidays. Blair damaged Labour over Iraq and fragmented the left even further which is why he is constantly apologizing for it. Johnson has at least been able to pull the right a little closer together albeit it a constant juggling act.

The Iraq War wasn't exactly the high point of Blair's time in government.

It's not just Boris Johnson. Recent events must have proved to the Conservative Party that they must come together or all is lost.
